last time i was at TT was for PAPER BITCHES YEAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAA |
Tickets acquired, incredibly excited to be crushed by waves of depressive and disorienting doom. |
I can't believe Evoken got added!
or that I am feeling legitimate excitement about something! |
Tickets are selling, have you picked up yours yet?
3 weeks away. |
Bought my ticket the other day. I've been listening to Saturnalia Temple all week . People shouldn't overlook them just because the rest of the lineup is stacked. They are pretty fantastic. |
This show is just a few weeks away. I suggest getting your tickets now or you risk missing out on this excellent show. |

Is Velnias really that high on the bill? |
Yes. The bands prefer it that way. |

"Mesmerizing?" Really? Did you get lost in their eyes? |
Holy dark room full of people I know. Evoken ruled. |
Esoteric sounds awesome but it seems so weird having someone so angry at a mic like Britney. |
I already had plans so an early show was out of the question. I figured Evoken would be good, but how was Velnias?
Never listened to Venice before and I was impressed. Esoteric were 10 for 10. Way beyond my wildest expectations. |
Esoteric literally heaviest thing seen in years and years. Holy fucking balls. |
Surprised they didn't blow TT's circuits with their pedal boards, but an absolutely incredible performance by Esoteric, their keyboardist was also an adorable bumbly Brit at the merch table. |

I've always loved Venice in autumn when the flowers are in full doom |
Evoken was awesome but the bass could have been just a little louder. I had never heard Saturnalia Temple or Velnias prior to last night; didn't really enjoy ST that much but Velnias was good aside from not being able to hear most of the drums. The drummer seemed like a tapper but it's hard to tell since the rest of the band was so loud. Esoteric were excellent; their set went by way too fast but it was solid. Caucus of Mind was so goddamn heavy. |
evoken were amazing, saturnalia and velnias were dogshit, esoteric didn't work for me live. do they really need 3 guitarists? |
Good show. Sucks the bands didnt get to play longer, and got rushed. Evoken opening???? It should have been Evoken and Then Esoteric. None of the other garbage was needed. Tooooo short of a show. And Traffic can blow me |
Velnias dude/Saturnalia scab was 100% a tapper. |
Considering the set lengths, this was one of the best shows I've ever attended. Evoken and Esoteric are two bands that sound incredible in a live setting. Pure saturation of sound; it was otherworldly.
Big thanks to Mike for also getting me in during the soundchecks. Evoken noodling on My Dying Bride's Cry of Mankind and Type O's cover of Summer Breeze? ...Yup. |
