Terrorizer Streams Debut EP from UK Black/Death Barbarians THE SOLEMN CURSE

Terrorizer Magazine have named Birmingham's THE SOLEMN CURSE as their 'Band of the Day,' and are currently streaming the blighted brothers' debut EP in full alongside an interview with guitarist/drummer Anil Carrier (Binah, Towers of Flesh, Necrotize, Theoktony).

Entitled Gateways to Eternity, the MCD is poised for a March 18, 2013 release from cult UK label Mordgrimm, and is a heavily atmospheric, visceral blend of black and death metal that Terrorizer described as "a blackened death metal assault of the grimmest variety."

THE SOLEMN CURSE is a two-man effort comprised of brothers Anil Carrier (guitars/drums) and Shadie Carrier (vocals), with all music written & recorded by Anil at Darksound Studios, Wolverhampton. Gateways to Eternity showcases an underground, yet hybrid sound. Its polished production captures all of the clarity without ever negating the raw energy or the intensity of the EP. This duo stand tall: with all of the instrumental duties being handled by Anil Carrier and the lyrical conceptions by Shadie Carrier, they spew forth a dark, punishing and varied work.

Gatesways to Eternity was mixed and mastered by Ajeet Gill (Motorhead, Cannibal Corpse, Immortal) at Hellfire Studios. The band collectively includes members of UK cutthroats Towers of Flesh, Binah, Necrotize, and Theoktony, and invited Richard Williams (Tomorrow Come the Wolves) and Aort (Code, Indesinence, Binah, ex-Dodheimsgard, ex-Hexvessel) to lend their twisted sounds to the proceedings. According to Anil, new material is already on its way, but for now, enter the gateway!
