New site? Maybe some day.
Well, I know what Im doing that weekend.
Reserve you Saturday, March 9th, 2013. The lineup is partial at the moment, but we can already tell that Mgla (exclusive North-American show) and Forteresse will be at Théâtre Plaza in Montréal, with at least another international group. More details in one or two weeks!!! |
Nargaroth playing...meh.
Still going for other bands
I dig a fair amount of the Nargaroth catalog but have no interest in seeing them live since everyone I know who's seen them, met or toured with him/them says he's a fucking tool with a horrible rockstar attitude. |
that can be expected by an individual who penned such profundity as "The Day Burzum Killed Mayhem". |
I fucking love that song. We should jam the 2nd half of it tonight. |
Will attend jam session lolz |
I very much would like to see Mgla, this lineup ain't cutting it. |
you don't dig Forteresse? impressive live. |
I'm tempted to go, but I hope Mgla is going to just tour the US soon. Isn't this their second time playing in Montreal in like 3 or 4 months? |
I tried them out when people were gushing over their performance last year, but I could try again. |
Mgla didn't play Mess Des Morts. They were supposed to. I think this is a makeup show of some sort. Sure would've loved for Darkspace to have jumped on this. Oh well. I'm strongly considering heading to the this. |
Mgla is definitely worth seeing, and paired with Forteresse this show is worth the drive. Especially for drum fans. I'd see them again if I didn't have a wedding to go to that weekend. |
Did anyone who was at MM2 do the ticket refund thing for this? I'm thinking of maybe trying to go, I don't know... |
Also Forteresse were good in Worcester and great in Montreal at MM1. I like their records, but they're more raging live. |
I would very much like to see Mgla since we missed out at MdM....I'm honestly a bit bummed that the aforementioned discount we'd receive for tickets is only $5 off. Seems a bit stingy to me. Either way, unsure if I can make it, gotta start saving for MDF and Martyrdoom.
Also, I hope they 2 TBA bands are strong. It sucks that this is at Theatre Plaza and not Katacombes. The venue sucks, obnoxious strobe lights everywhere and steep beer prices. Feels like the Palladium. |
The should get Miserere Luminis on that shit. |

SUPPORT. Theatre Plaza kinda ruined it for me this year. Don't get me wrong, it was the best stage and crew I've ever played with but those fucking strobes killed me and the beer prices/selection SUCKED. |
This whole thing bums me out. The supporting bands are weak, the promised discount on tickets for messe des morts attendees is a mere $5, which seems incredibly stingy......it would be great to see nargaroth but at this point its time to start saving for mdf and martyrdoom. I don't know who Black Empire is, but I know I don't much care for Woe. Fucking bummer. |
Hey do you like Historical Dramas? |
LOL. Lemme look that up on wikipedia to be sure. |
Nile double set at the Pallædium is the same night. Plus I feel like I'm owed free admission to the Théâtre Plaza for some reason. I got the chance to see an empty Katacombes, and it confirmed I would rather see a show there. So easy choice for me. |

Seriously. The bouncer/coat check thing also sucked, as did the location.
Honestly though, I'd probably go for Mgla/Forteresse/Montreal if I could afford it. |
^I agree completely.
The only cool thing about the mandatory coat check was that you could buy records and check them, eliminating the whole problem of buying lps at shows. I'm still the idiot that passed on getting the Revenge diehard for $20. Never again will I get that opportunity. I have the regular version but this one had a patch, pin and giant flag. |
Still going, although I agree about the mere 5 bucks. f that |
I am going for Mgła and Forteresse. Forteresse at the first Messe des Morts was nuts. I'm intrigued by Black Empire, simply because they are Québécois. Fuck Nargaroth. Fuck Woe (amirite Burnsy?) |
City boy faggots drive hundreds of miles through true heathen wilderness to another faggot city to watch faggot pollacks who haven't been worthwhile in 8 years. Everyone in this thread owns a Nortt backpatch. OI OI OI |
Good call on the Nortt backpatch. Not sure about the "city" boy part though. |
Don't get me started on these anonymous fuckers. |
I'm just amused by the fact that someone other than you and Burnsy knows who I am. I don't talk to that many people at shows. |
Hi, Im Troy McClure. You may remember me from such back patches as Nortt, Black Pyramid and The Erotic Adventures of Hercules. |
LOL, what XD Erotic Adventures of Hercules, wat |
Goddamn I can't wait to ignore Nortt backpatch kid tonight pretending that he's too short to see. |
