Anybody tried Jack Daniels Winter Jack yet? Gonna go buy a bottle of it and try it out, hopefully it doesnt suck. I know alot of people on here dont like Jack Daniels, just thought I would ask.

toggletoggle post by Burnsy at Nov 9,2012 11:44am
I like jack. Would try this out. I've been on an American honey kick the past week.

toggletoggle post by MotleyGrue at Nov 9,2012 11:46am
I've only had Honey Jack, can you suggest any other good honey whiskeys?

toggletoggle post by Whisky Elitist at Nov 9,2012 11:46am
Jack is horrible. Don't forget that whisky has no E in it. What is this world coming to.

toggletoggle post by MotleyGrue at Nov 9,2012 11:49am
my shitty fucking grammer, ha ha. I tried some other WHISKY'S, but Jack Daniels does it for me.

toggletoggle post by scotch bargain elitist at Nov 9,2012 11:50am
sweetened hard liquor is nauseating and gay.

toggletoggle post by apostrophe elitist at Nov 9,2012 11:50am

never had it, willing to give it a try, hitting the liquor store in a while. Also fuck grammer.

The American Honey, I think by Yukon Jack is my favorite, followed by Honey Jack and then the Seagram's honey. I usually don't like sweet liquor but the honey whiskeys are delicious.

And I love scotch. Ark's recommendation of Mclelland's Islay changed my life. 23 bucks a bottle and you'd never think so from the taste. And fuck scotch on the rocks. DRINK THAT SHIT NEAT, SON!

toggletoggle post by Boozegood at Nov 9,2012 12:36pm
Scotch, you say?

(And yes I know it's not all Scotch).

toggletoggle post by Burnsy at Nov 9,2012 12:40pm
Good collection. Lagavulin is fucking excellent. Haven't had the Laphraoig or Ardberg yet but I'm a sucker for Islays.

I had a whiskey punch for the first time last week at Deep Ellum. Shit was delicious. I'm mad I have not known of this drink before.

I think it was only available in germany, and first year over here.

Boozegod...holy shit thats a nice collection of alcohol you have there.

Mclelland's Islay for 23 bucks you say, hmmmmmm.

Thanks man, I have a lot of Absinthe and Whiskey and not much else though. I have to get more well rounded collection...I guess, haha.

I have one bottle of Absinthe, I saw your other thread on it, and am gonna order the Boston Butterfly one, read the review of it and it seems tasty.

Have you ever had Chartreuse?

It's not a matter of grammar, it's a matter of spelling, only in this case it is a matter of dialect, since both 'whisky' and 'whiskey' are correct, depending on who youre talking to.

toggletoggle post by AndrewBastard  at Nov 9,2012 1:38pm
ive never seen it spelled 'whisky'

good point, it is a matter of dialect I see that now. I normally dont pay attention to how its spelled on the bottle as I focus on the brand name.

I'M NOT BEING A DICK, just sharing info:

http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Whisky#Names_and_spellings

Verification: you can see on a few of those bottles above the word 'whisky'.

And a good example is the Ardbeg next to the Buffalo Trace. Ardbeg being Scotch and spelling it 'whisky' on the bottle, Buffalo Trace being American (bourbon) and spelling it 'whiskey' on the bottle.

when my grandfather died, one of the things that was found in his old place was a crate of old scotch bottles from the 40s. I ended up getting 7 of the bottles- Donald Fisher scotch, John Begg blue cap, original candian club... and a really old bottle of courvoisier

they are all gone now, the last one I gave to my friend for his wedding

shoulda saved one

interesting. i always thought "whisky" was in reference to "scotch whisky" and "whiskey" was anything made anywhere else.
