I also have a Mesa traditional 4x12 straight cabinet w/v30's that I'm looking to trade for a Vader 4x12 cabinet w/eminence legends.

Don't bother with a Vader...for that head, just get the VHT/Fryette FatBottom 4x12. They're one of those rare occasions where the matching cab actually is the best cab for the head. (I own both a Deliverance and a Sig:X).

I actually just got the Vader and I kind of like the combo but I want a pittbull again more than anything. How is the sig x? What does that head actually do ive heard its pretty good

The Sig:X is badass. Have you ever played a Deliverance? Channel 2 on the Sig:X is basically a Deliverance. Channel 3 is just completely crushing...into Engl (Savage more than 'ball) levels of saturation, but a bit clearer and much more dynamic.

I tried a deliverance and didn't like it but I gotta try a sig it sounds right up my alley.

The trick with both of them is to use an overdrive as a clean boost...you can really get the best out of them that way, for heavier tones.

Yeah I tend to stay away from pedals ive never liked the way any head sounds boosted. I just prefer the natural tone from the amp and I don't like to mess with that haha.

Sometimes you need more than lettuce to make salad.

I didn't like boosts until I tried one with my Deliverance, fwiw. And actually, even with that amp, it took me a while to appreciate it...but once I was used to how the amp sounded without it at band levels, I decided to try the boost and loved it.

Yeah I guess in some cases they help. I know I've tracked guitars with an 808 before and it sounded killer.

Now just looking to sell the amp with the footswitch for $1500
