how the hell would you be able to fall asleep? this band made my insides feel like I was going to poop myself constantly. I was clenching my bowels tight.
Sunn might someday release the most amazing album in history, but i refuse to support a band who cons someone into spending 15 bucks on an hour of feedback by putting the "demo" label on the case.
I was bummed for a few minutes that I have a ticket to the NY date instead of this, but I'll have to work that Tuesday anyway and I'd rather see Winter.

Who is the idiot that booked Dead in the Dirt with Sunn? At Coolidge Corner?? Not only does this pairing of bands make no sense, but the only band I want to see is going to sound like shit at Coolidge and the show is a billion dollars because (ehrmegerrrd!) Sunn is playing.

You can take that up with Greg Anderson on why he asked them to tour with them.
It won't sound like shit, we have a special PA in place for the night worked out with specifications with both band's sound engineer. But thanks anyways for your concerns.

I'm sure your sound design skills are fine. The few times that I've seen bands at Coolidge they have, acoustically speaking, sounded great. It's the theater setting for Dead in the Dirt that bugs me as I'm used to seeing them in small super loud spaces which IMO is the only way to listen to bands like that.
Either way, all moot points because I won't be there.
I read somewhere that they are adding a second show.
As Spence said, I don't think that will happen unfortunately.

Got my tickets and I'm buying some MDMA for this show. It's going to rule! MASSIVE DOOM RIFFS 0)))

Get high! We have now been added to this billing as part of our ongoing motherfucking riff reunion and will have special treat. Goddamn we will be out smoking and out fogging Sunn and out voluming them with custom Purple Amps with pink polka bong. We have 20 fog machines loaded with electric dragon hash oil and could use MDMA in them as well for maximum psychodelic black doom. This show will rule and I would expect we will be headlining it because we kick Sunn ass and they will end up like Daxx Riggs and Philip Anselmo eating shit. Black Pyramid > Sunn you will realize first hand stoner as part of deluded reunion fuck yes.
Tickets have sold pretty fast, so if anyone else cares to go that hasn't gotten a ticket already, you should get on it. It will sell out probably early next week.

I wouldn't be surprised if it sells out before the weekend is over!
Me too. It got a lot better when Attila came out. His 20-30 minute vocal solo was inhuman. Having him in the band makes me hope the entire set that maybe, at some random moment, they would break into Pagan Fears.
And Dead in the Dirt totally sounded like crap. Why were there no drums in the pa? They were mic'ed...Their set sounded like radios in a blender. Too bad, because they're a sick band. Need to see them again...
I agree. dead in the dirt sounded awful. I figured it was cause the PA was set up for sunn0))) and not them.

I may be slightly biased and like everything, but this was among the coolest nights I've ever experienced!
Cleaning up after you fucks wasn't the best time in the world (there were way too many unfinished beer cans! What a waste of beer!) but actually I've seen worse damage haha
he didn't smell of booze, but there was a completely empty 1/5 of jack under his chair.
He also got up and walked off. I looked under my seat to see if I had dropped anything and his ipod/umbrella were there. I ran after him and tried to give them back. the dude looked like he had never seen them before. but he said "thank you" and left.

I sat next to the guy. He was tripping his balls off. Asked me if I had seen aliens like the ones on stage (set up crew) before. Also spent most of the time smacking me in the arm in some "yeah, dude" sort of gesture. The rest of the time he was conducting an invisible orchestra.
