Boston is home to black metal outfit NACHZEHRER where vocalist Mike Eleftheratos aka Hräsvelg was recently detained at a subway transit stop along Boston’s Red Line track. Apparently he stopped along his travels to pull out his belt, fashioned as bullets, from a bag resulting in a nearby witness to panic and call local authorities and having the line suspending service for almost a half hour. Comments Hräsvelg:

“I pulled my bullet belt out of my camo backpack and put it on at Downtown Crossing… Somebody apparently freaked and called the cops. They suspended service and searched me. The cops apologized and thought it was hilarious.”

its always funny when bad things happen to mike but i don't really get why its news. i see way less sketchy looking people get bags and back packs searched at back bay station pretty much on the regular (including a little old lady who had her grocery bag searched the other day). mbta cops are ready to freak out over anything and nothing all the time.
