The cover artwork for the standard edition of "Phantom Antichrist" was created by Wes Benscoter (SLAYER, DIO, BLACK SABBATH).

ACCEPT's new album, "Stalingrad", sold around 5,400 copies in the United States in its first week of release to debut at position No. 81 on The Billboard 200 chart. The band's previous CD, "Blood Of The Nations", opened with around 2,900 units back in September 2010 to land at No. 187.

The one song I heard from the new Accept album was actually pretty good.

toggletoggle post by Mark_R at May 9,2012 7:26pm
Ringworm is also on too, right?

toggletoggle post by KEVORD  at May 9,2012 7:30pm
I think Ringworm is only on the Cleveland date cause they're from Cleveland. But I could be wrong.

toggletoggle post by Mark_R at May 9,2012 8:22pm
That sounds right. I saw a flier for the Columbus date with them on it.

toggletoggle post by KEVORD  at May 9,2012 8:29pm
Columbus Ohio rather not Cleveland.

toggletoggle post by Lamp  at May 9,2012 8:33pm
Is Kreator even worth seeing anymore? They've been around for like, 30 years. Not trying to be a dick, serious question.

toggletoggle post by KEVORD  at May 9,2012 8:36pm
I haven't seen them since around 2001 but they were really good then.

toggletoggle post by Mark_R at May 9,2012 8:58pm
I thought they were fine in 2009.

toggletoggle post by Lamp  at May 9,2012 9:13pm
I wouldn't go to this since it's at the Palladium anyway, but seeing as I slept on thrash/death metal for a long ass time before finally getting into it, I would have more curiosity about seeing one of my favorites since I woke up.

toggletoggle post by late_rising at May 9,2012 9:29pm
Kreator are still awesome live but they have played worcester at least 4 straight years now, so there is an old news element. I didn't go to Accept at Showcase Live last year, but everyone I talked to that did said good things about it.

toggletoggle post by chrisREX  at May 9,2012 9:39pm
The last two Accept albums were killer. I am going to this.

toggletoggle post by Big bag of assorted nigger parts at May 9,2012 10:13pm
Kreator sucked last time I saw them (w Voivod), limp and not nearly fast enough. New tune does sound promising.

toggletoggle post by Alx_Casket  at May 9,2012 10:51pm
Nice tour, marking my calendar.

toggletoggle post by Headbanging_Man at May 9,2012 11:08pm
Fuck yes... ACCEPT was outstanding in Foxboro. KREATOR in Haverhill (2002?) was good but spent way too much time on then-new shit, and they have, what, 3 more albums since then? Maybe Mille will follow MAIDEN's lead and put together a History of Kreator setlist ending in 1988. And monkey's might fly out Ventor's butt...

toggletoggle post by KEVORD  at May 9,2012 11:37pm
oh yeah. Club 125 in Haverhill with Destruction. That was 02. That's the last time I saw Kreator I think.

toggletoggle post by nekronaut  at May 9,2012 11:48pm
Yeah, Accept was amazing at Showcase Live and I love Kreator.. there!

kreator always puts on an amazing live show. They even make shitty songs off of HOC sound good live. Can't recall how many times i've seen them, over 5.

you kidding? my only problem with that show is that they played every title track they have. and if i remember correctly they played a super fucking fast version of flag of hate.

Not kidding. One fast song, this is NOT what I want from them. And their guitar sound totally sucked, rendered all riffs lifeless. I live for their old shit, and they were fucking horrible, couldn't wait for them to be over.

This is gonna be fucking SICK!!! Accept rules live. I saw them in 2010 at Showcase Live in Foxboro. The box office had closed when I got there so I ended up getting into the show for free! Mark Tornillo nails the Udo era classics perfectly. If they had found him back in the 80s instead of David Reece, Eat the Heat would have been a way better album. Fuck, Mark Tornillo even said in an interview that when he was in his old band TT Quick back in the 80s, they used to cover Accept songs and tell everyone that they wrote them, haha! That was back in the days before there was internet where you could easily go on Metal Archives or whatever and find shit like this out in 10 seconds.

And Kreator, yeah they rule. This show will be everything a metal show should be and more!

oh shit, I remember this place! Got kinda boring once I went back with my younger brothers though. Only cotton candy is real.

looking forward to not being able to afford to go to this.

I'm more excited to see Accept. Their recent records are great with their new vocalist.

ALL FIRED UP. I fucking love ACCEPT and the new stuff does sound pretty mint. Pregame rituals? Might get sauced at the Abbey.

toggletoggle post by the_reverend   at Sep 8,2012 4:41pm
looks like I will be there.

toggletoggle post by KEVORD  at Sep 8,2012 4:53pm
Wanted to see Accept but I'm really tired. I'm getting old.

toggletoggle post by nekronaut  at Sep 8,2012 7:37pm
Wanted to see Accept but I'd rather get shithammered and go into work at 8am still drunk.

toggletoggle post by Nostromo at Sep 8,2012 7:58pm
Set times?

toggletoggle post by boblovesmusic   at Sep 8,2012 7:59pm
I would go but lack of funds and family in town prevent me from going. Have a good time for me fellas!

toggletoggle post by the_reverend   at Sep 8,2012 8:22pm
Swallow the sun just finished. I didn't look at any other set times.
It is so freakin humid in here it is ugh.. idk... I'm dripping sweat down my legs.
Also, the most awkward award goes to swallow the sun. Their second to last song had a girl singing, but there was no girl on stage so the singer just turned around.

toggletoggle post by grumpydeeppurplefan at Sep 8,2012 8:25pm
That was swallow the sun? And what's up with the mentioned girl voice?

toggletoggle post by the_reverend   at Sep 8,2012 8:40pm
yeah, this is a weird show... the place has an acceptable amount of people.

toggletoggle post by the_reverend   at Sep 8,2012 9:07pm
Accept is killing right now.

toggletoggle post by grumpydeeppurplefan at Sep 8,2012 9:51pm
The kids seem to love. Wonder whether my wife is in that swirl...

toggletoggle post by Spence at Sep 9,2012 1:16am
Kreator and Accept both killed it.

I'm also very happy that Kreator dropped Coma of Souls tonight in exchange for Betrayer.

toggletoggle post by Spence at Sep 9,2012 1:24am
Also, major lolz at various drunk friends/acquaintances asking me if that's "legit you" on RTTP posting as Spence. haha

toggletoggle post by ArrowHead Logged In at Sep 9,2012 1:47am
Fuuuck.

I wanted to see this so badly. But I love my money too much to buy the tickets, and love Wolf's tone and playing too much to see them at the shitty fucking palladium.

Really would rather eat buffalo wings and burgers and see them at Showcase Live again. I was right smack in front of Wolf for the entire show.

Instead I'm stuck cleaning out my second bedroom, and playing skyrim with some cat of the negroid variety.

toggletoggle post by the_reverend   at Sep 9,2012 2:31am
they played the start of coma of souls...

Would anyone have guessed circa 1987/8 that ACCEPT 25 years later would wipe the floor with KREATOR??? Kind of embarrassing. At least "Endless Pain" and "Pleasure To Kill" didn't get medley-ed, one saving grace of the set.

toggletoggle post by late_rising at Sep 9,2012 6:55pm
even though the Palladium downstairs is infamous for bad sound, they hit a new low with that Kreator set last night. I seriously could not hear guitars, and the whole mix was a muddy pool of shit. it pretty much ruined Kreator for me, who sounded fantastic when they played upstairs 2 years ago. Accept had better sound quality for whatever reason ... still not great but at least the guitar was sharp and loud.

toggletoggle post by Spence at Sep 10,2012 6:25pm
I thought the sound quality for Swallow the Sun, Accept and the first four or five Kreator songs were great while I was up front. Then when I got pushed back in the crowd later, the sound quality was awful. I didn't even realize they were playing Endless Pain until about halfway through it. Regardless, Kreator still crushed IMO.

And Rev, really? Must've been when I went to the bathroom, if they only played a bit of it.

Its all about where you stand in that room. found myself in the front right and could hear everything. But when i went to grab a beer, i couldn't hear shit. Also that sweet spot is different for different amp placements.

with that said, i hate this place.

also kudos to kreator for being the only band that can take shitty new songs that i abhor on album be fucking amazing and fun live.
