It's a novelization of the War of the Ring from the point of view of Mordor (specifically a Southlander medic in the company of an orc scout). Very curious about this.

Jacqueline Carey's books Banewrecker & Godslayer are a similar concept without actively begging for a lawsuit...she usually puts out fruity fantasy-romance novels but these were pretty good IMO
