New site? Maybe some day.
January 28th 2012. i have no links, i just saw it on Ticketmaster. be still my beating heart. |
TD Garden.
If it was the Boston Garden, WED BE SEEING TOOL IN THEIR PRIME, ASSHOLE |
IT'S STILL THE BOSTON GARDEN, JUST LIKE IT'S STILL THE CENTRUM. |
Tool sux so bad now. Lateralus tour ruled though. |
Would rather spend my money on more hair gel than this corporate rock fag fest broski. Woo Woo Woo! You know it. |
Useful idiot should do a show the day before or after |
This may be how I'm spending some of my Christmas money...although if I do, I hope they're playing mostly Aenima and before |
SICK DUDE!
Oh wait. I forgot I hate this band. |
Not the garden. Fleet center or gtfo |
Went and saw Meshuggah one time then left before Tool. In kind of regretting that now. If the tickets are reasonable, I may go to this. |
Only listened to aenima. And would only see them for nostalgiac value if like rusty said, they played aenima. Otherwise no care. |
I saw them at the Wallace Civic center years ago(yeah I am that old). They played well, but I don't think i would go see them now. |
Tool played Michigan the night of my high school prom, which was 2001. I was all set to go to it when a hot girl asked me to go with her to the prom. I still have never seen Tool and probably won't, if ticket prices are what I expect them to be. |
NICE! I know where I'm going to be no where near. |
I would actually pay money to see this, seeing as Tool actually puts on a good live show unlike all the crappy "underground" bands that get drooled over on these boards.
I don't even like Tool, and I'd rather see them instead of Bastard Panther or whatever lame local poser black metal bands you hip kids are into these days.
one of the greatest bands in history. i can't wait to see this. |
Honestly, waste of money unless you get good seats. |
Fool is the band you'll be seeing if you pay 75 bucks to sit in a balcony and watch little black specks play even smaller black specks. You'll also be surround by artfags who think Fool is the best band since Rush and NIN. |
the tickets i found are 42.50. only letting the crowd ruin a show for you is real. |
Waste of money to watch washed up black specks. |
then i'll go have fun and you can sit at home and take arrows to the knee. NON-SKYRIMMER MAKING A SKYRIM JOKE. |
I won't be Skyrimming then. Only having fun watching black specks Fool is real. |

manowarrior is a pretty decent poster. |
Puts on a good show if good seats weren't so expensive. I'd rather spend the money on mushrooms and listen to their classics at home.
Ideally, eating mushrooms and having good seats at this would be rad, but otherwise it won't be worth it. How anyone likes Arena shows is beyond me. |
Do the washed-up black specks still hide behind the set dressing for the entire show? |

Dude....
I saw that lineup in western NY somewhere.... fuck me. Meshuggah played "Nebulous" that night.
If you like Tool, then definitely go see them. Totally worth it. Waffles only for the fact that they do bring out a certain frat boy element, depending on location. Easily ignored though. |
They're okay, but to reiterate what most people have said, I heard they're amazing performers. |

You're right, I'd rather be in a small, shitty club with a bunch of fugly mofos, listening to some band that's trendy, surrounded by a handful of poser BM fag basement dwellers who think that Mayhem is the best band since Venom and Bathory.
At least there will be chicks at Tool. Then again, I know you're all homos anyways.
I'm buying tickets tomorrow for the Black Specks. Looking to get GOOD seats though. |
Clearly real Aril has never seen Tool live if he thinks being able to see the band members is of importance. Hint: They put on a big light show. Band member's aren't even LIT half the time.
And I am NOT Sacreligion or yeti! |
I've seen Tool, they put on an amazing show. Would see them again. |
Why doesn't anyone call ME a faggot anymore?
I rescind my comment about Manowarrior being a decent poster. |
I've been a fan of Tool since the early days of high school ('96ish) but have yet to see them live. I can't imagine how this would compare to what a show would have been like back then, but I'm lookng forward to this regardless. I also lack familiarity with anything they did after Lateralus so I'm hoping they include a decent mix of their older songs on the set list. |

I wouldn't have it any other way, because you're clearly an ass kissing faggot.

even though 10000 Days isn't their best work, it is far from lackluster. there are a few "jam" type songs that leave a little to be desired, but overall it's a killer album. when i saw them in 06 they did 10000 Days and Wings For Marie and it was awesome, but they are slower. hopefully they stick with the faster songs like Vicarious, Jambi, The Pot, and Rosetta Stoned. |
10000 days was so boring. Are you serious? YOOTB |
i dug 10,000 days a lot. in it's entirety it's not as good as any of their other records, but i would put the songs yeti mentioned against any of their other work. |
I guess I should rephrase. 10000 days wasnt BORING as an album, but I think it's their worst album. It's boring compared to previous works. I havent listened to it in a loong time |
It sounds uninspired for certain.
the only parts that lose their grip are Lipan Conjuring and Lost Keys. Right in Two is amazing. |
Uninspired is the right description, faggot |
i guess they can't all be mind-blowing like Alcest. |
Alcest is more innovative than Tool. |
Lol, I a have feeling Tony is going to punch me next time he sees me. |
Alcest is more innovative than Tool. |
i've never listened to Alcest.. but no, that is wrong. |
I saw Tool perform at the Garden/TD Bank blah blah blah. The visual set up was even more intense since I had dropped some doses before going in. |
Tool was innovative in the 90s; that was their time. Alcest, although limp wristed to some, is pushing boundaries in the 2010s. |
The music of Alcest ventures into territories that Tool does not. Tool is definitely atmospheric in their own way, but Alcest is far more expansive and deep. |
i'd say thats a subjective observation |

I wish Amesoeurs would put out another record. Bonheur Amputé or fuck off. |
COMPLETELY different bands, but yea... Anyone that fails to see Neige's artistic integriety and creativity is a total hack. |
*referring to the squirrel with giant dick obviously. |

Who are you to wave your finger, Jim? You musta been out your head. |
actually i can tell you the fundamental difference between them. Tool rules, Alcest sucks. |
I'll be sure to wear my Alcest shirt at this. Buying front row seats tomorrow. |
Nothing works on Ticketmaster. Most likely sold out. I think RobinG booked it |
Worcester Ma. Is the habitation for a small tribe of primatives who worship bands on the cover of early 2000's Revolver magazines. They live on a diet of their own feces. |
Holy shit, not only the boston garden sold out, the mohegan sun show is sold out too! That sucks. I thought with two shows I'd at least have a chance to score 2 tickets somewhere. |
It's definitely not sold out. I just tried it just to see and I was able to "order" tickets.
Also, LOL @ idiots paying nearly twice for tickets to see TOOL than the tickets for FOO FIGHTERS at the same venue.. clearly one band doesn't feel the need to rip off their fans |

I just tried again for both shows. No tickets available. Just like last time. |

Foos do more shows in a month than Tool does in 2 years.
CT show was cheaper, BTW.

That might explain. I need two tickets, not searching for singles. |
Is it true Intronaut is on this tour too? |
how the fuck did this sell out so fast. no one i know got tickets. |
That might explain. I need two tickets, not searching for singles. |
lol right, not dropping $70.00 to go to a concert by myself. as much as I love this band, that would be lame. |
yeah, you know what, fuck these black specs, i'm going snowboarding instead. |
got tickets sec 12 row 10 hell ya |
i was going to buy tickets to this show until i took a black spec to the knee |
So YOB has officially been confirmed as the opening act for this show, and the East Coast shows.
That officially makes this the concert of the year. I will not be missing this.
Yup, absolutely. Spin Magazine gave them #2 for their best metal albums of the year also.
Liturgy got #1, further proving that all you wannabe black metal peeps are hipsters.
lol @ reading spin magazine. |
Front row tickets obtained. |
I'm joking... Haha. Just wanted to bump as a reminder. |
