GETCHA GRAB BAGS READY

http://truecultheavymetal.com/blog1.php/20...11/11/23/the-top-21-relapse-records

Also, LMAO @ Calculating Infinity being completely left off the list

Mastodon above Disembowelment? what foolishness.

toggletoggle post by KEVORD  at Dec 8,2011 5:29pm
More proof that the last 10 years of relapse has been garbage.

Yea, we are on it. What more do you need?

cant say i agree with amorphis having no bad albums

toggletoggle post by MarkFuckingRichards  at Dec 8,2011 7:23pm
I fucking love Through Silver In Blood, but Times of Grace deserves the top spot more. Also, no Flesh Parade or Human Remains? Bah.

toggletoggle post by MillenialKingdom  at Dec 8,2011 7:28pm
I hate these types of lists. All this stuff is subjective.

1) Reissue of Repulsion's "Horrified"
2) AC - Morbid Florist

That's it.

In some ways yes... but a lot of what they have released originally or reissued that I would consider good is nowhere to be found on this list.

Who the fuck is Horseback? Where is General Surgery, Incantation, The First Suffocation Record, Mythic, Macabre etc? Jesus Christ, I stopped paying attention to this label a long time ago.

toggletoggle post by bobnomaamrooney at Dec 8,2011 9:10pm
Are all of these available in grab bags?

I call shenanigans...they've def released plenty of damn good records over the past decade

toggletoggle post by Lamp nli at Dec 9,2011 2:02am
There's been some good stuff Relapse has been involved in too where they only released the CD and another label released the vinyl.

Yup. Should have been on there. This list is a false.

toggletoggle post by blue  at Dec 9,2011 7:43am
No Disrupt, no Human Remains, no Karelian Isthmus, no Human Waste & no Repulsion. Ultra fail

I'll admit that a handful of things they've released in the past decade have been good. But the majority of the stuff they released in their first ten years was great. Just compare the releases on that list from the 90's and 00's.

I was tying to find a definitive disography broken down by year last night, but I couldn't find it.

Also, this is really all subjective. I could probably come up with a list of 50 records they've released from 2001 on that I like and you don't and vice versa.

who ever cares what terrorizer says, gents. i expected a list of 21 mastodon albums.

toggletoggle post by xmikex at Dec 9,2011 9:43am
It sounds like whoever wrote this was desperate to include some older releases that he never actually listened to so people wouldn't think he was a poser. That's the only rationale I can come up with for including BT's Sounds of the Animal Kingdom. Anyone who actually sat down and listened to that record knows it's god awful.

And I loved Through Silver In Blood but noooo way does it > Times of Grace

toggletoggle post by arktourO‘s at Dec 9,2011 9:47am
yeah. we know relapse is a pretty crucial label, maybe if they did some actual journalism on the story of relapse instead of making a list, i still wouldn't have read it, but i would be happier knowing the world has one less list of favorite albums.

toggletoggle post by RustyPS should be working at Dec 9,2011 9:47am
I'm being honest, I like SOTAK.....but it's not Kill Trend Suicide, which is far better

toggletoggle post by Yeti at Dec 9,2011 10:33am
granted Nile and Disembowelment cancel out most of the others, High on Fire and Baroness send it careening in the other direction.

toggletoggle post by RustyPS should be working at Dec 9,2011 10:36am
See, again, I am a fan of both HOF and Baroness, but neither deserve to be on the all time best list of Relapse
