You obviously are unaware of the band's back story, they were sell outs from the get-go.
They signed to a smaller, REAL metal record label, Shadows Kingdom. Shadows Kingdom was already spending money promoting the album, which they were releasing.
Then they decided that they instead would prefer to screw over Shadows Kingdom, and take an offer from Rise Above, so they could play with really cool shows with really cool bands like Ghost.
Same label, that's why they're playing together.
Not surprising that you faggots have no knowledge of these things, since you've shown time and time again you have no knowledge of passion for actual metal, and are only concerned with being trend chasing faggots.
Not going to any show tonight but going to the Bruins game tomorrow is WIN

The Ghost recordings are ok. All the live videos I have seen they sound terrible. The wonders of good production. I hope everyone comes home full of dissapoint from this.
man, everyone here is gay with the fucking hipster b/s. It's metal, and it will prolly be a good time regardless. I honestly haven't heard the other two bands on the bill. I heard Ghost a few times, I think they are a bit stock, but I will gladly rock out to their set regardless, so long as I have some whiskey with me. Why does everyone have to hate on every show/band that happens to roll through NE? Because we are fucking spoiled with a great scene, that all you fucks take advantage of and ruin with this gay attitude. Just be thankful you all dont live in fucking omaha or some lame city with no scene.
PS I know my bands suck and Im a fag, and most likely some internet tough guy will tell me they want to kick my ass, but, I just wanna get drunk and have a good night, so who's going?

The Ghost recordings are ok. All the live videos I have seen they sound terrible. The wonders of good production. I hope everyone comes home full of dissapoint from this.
They play to tapes live also, so I am quite surprised that they don't sound better.

I could care less. I got Ghost distroed by Newbs before the album dropped in america and they sold a few boxes of 19.99 imports for awhile until the parent distributor backed a full american release (which was hyped due to the success of those expensive import sales).
Ryan made the original attn thread to grab my attention and it's still a release that i play regularly. Not everybody likes old sounding metal, don't be a drama queen about it.

That said, their set was a bit short for a headliner...
They played every song that they have. There were NONE more songs.
Blood Ceremony ruled so hard. That guitar tone was incredible. The singer was hot rocked the shit out of the flute. The drummer was a big suprise for me. Tons of energy. Great stage presence. I would see them again, several times
I'm not a girlfriend I just like what I like. Blood ceremony is much more feminine. Can't dig on those bunk vocals and boring riffs and drum lines... Yeah energy? There stuff was so slow u can play with maximum energy indefinitely.

got there at about 930, said it SOLD OUT posted all over the club but we still were able to buy tickets, along with everyone else who came in with us.
Blood Ceremony was excellent, first time hearing them, very cool.
Ghost was excellent as well, sounded just like the CD (studio backing tracks for vocals???) not to mention they played the entire album. I sang every song with my girlfriend, headbanged harder than the entire club. Don't be so poon hurt you faggot assed drama queens.
Hawt as balls in there. Was shocked to see it sooo packed. I got wicked hot and felt like passing out so I just vomited in the mens room instead. Surprised they had Noble Pils on tap, I think it fucked with my belly.
Ghost is refreshing as fuck, smokes the fuck out of the majority most modern tech dm, over produced bm, deathcore and poseur thrash blah blah blah.

I couldn’t stop thinking this saying since I start listen this band, definately they have the ability to remind you great artists, in all fields of art. To be honest I would like to have them as friends, because they must have exceptional discography and you can see it in their songs.
If you are willing, (as I saw on eBay) to buy with 200 Euros and more, a 7inch, I would propose to buy all King Diamond & Mercyful Fate, Pentagram and Coven. The difference would be that you would have the same music in better quality and way better vocals.
I could easily play a game with older fans, for example find the Megadeth riff in Ritual song, or find the exceptional music of Bell Witch (Mercyful Fate) on Death Knell but I have to admit, I was surprised when I heard the bad played riffs of Iron maiden and the Nintendo music at the end of Genesis Song.
I can’t deny that the Hide (with any possible excuse) and Sell recipe of Slipknot, Lordi or Gwar still works but at least the previous were better in music.The vocals are extremely low and that means they are wise enough, because the singer can’t sing in high notes so the copying of king would be tragic, at least he has some music education.
After this experience, I can get why King after his horrible health condition is still alive and as healthy as possible, cause definitely devil doesn’t have something new, that could beat him… the new kids are not inspired enough from the Dark Lord.

I find ghost to be terribly uninspired. They blatenly make music for the end result of tryiing to SOUND LIKE certain bands instead of lettilng certain styles influence them naturally. It reaks of poseurism. I also find the majority of their songs do not have any sort of resonence with me the way that old MF or any of those old bands do. It sounds FORCED it's hokey and I think a lot of people simply like them because they are different and they are too lazy to actually find different sounding music on their own, instead they just let Fenriz tell them what is cool and jump on the bandwagon. I almost feel like the band is playing a big joke on everyone sometimes because the music is so insincere.
No one will remember Ghost in 10 years because they suck complete shit, and the members will be doing something else by then. Long since spending your money you doled out for thier limited edition vinyl.

No, of course not. You all see this information as irrelevant, since thinking about a band's motivations behind how and why they make their music could lead towards the examination of your own motivations for supposedly liking and listening to "metal."
And sooner or later, a lot of you are going to wake up, look in the mirror and realize you don't give too shits about metal, deep down you only care about trying to follow all the really cool trends, just like everybody else.

reliable sources say that the singer for Ghost is also the singer/guitarist for Repugnant.
that said, I'll happily call myself a poser/hipster/whatever if that makes you happy. I don't care! I'll just continue to listen to metal and pop and everything else that makes me happy. I'll also continue to go to shows that supposedly have metal bands playing.
Also Ghost was frickin fun at this show! I sang at the top of my voice along with Elizabeth. I screamed along with the crowd when they played the first riffs of Ritual. I even harmonized along with Here Comes The Sun! Fuck yeah!
