Not really. I didn't invent the term, but I like it a whole lot, so I'm spreading the word.

Not sure if this'll work... A term I hope'll catch on more.

NIGGERBALL

toggletoggle post by Big bag of assorted nigger parts at Sep 8,2011 12:47am
Guess not. Well anyway, it was a t-shirt w the Urban Dictionary definition for "NIGGER BALL:"
-------------------
Throw out most of the real basketball rules. The NBA now runs on NO "turning it over", NO "palming the ball", NO "walking two steps without a dribble", all these rule violations are now gone.
NBA Basketball no longer follows rules. Forget Larry Byrd, even Magic Johnson.
There is no PRO BASKETBALL with RULES.
IT IS NOW JUST NIGGER BALL.
-------------------
Of course, I don't give a fart about any sports at all, I just think it sounds funny.

Ipsissimus prefers the nomenclature "Featherblasting Faggot"

I guess I'm a featherduster. I've played two recent auditions where not hitting hard enough/loud enough was a major factor. o well.

a wise man once said "HIT LIKE A MAN, FAGGOT!".

Don't be a bitch. Hit those fucking drums. Nothing pisses me off more than watching a limp writsted drummer bouncing around the kit like a jazz musician while playing metal.

Usually it's just when people play blasts that the snare drops out then they come back super loud on the 1/4 notes. You're blast should be the same volume as your 1/4 notes and if they are not then slow the fuck down and build it up to speed. Also just cause you have a lot of time to smash the 1/4 notes doesn't mean you have to hit them that hard.

My quandary is that I grew up learning to play drums long before I got into metal (or hardcore) and I was surrounded by teenage gorillas who knew how to pound the shit out of drums but not much else. I spent a lot of time focusing on quieter dynamics because I wanted to have a skill set that not many of my peers did.

Now it comes back to haunt me after I started trying to break into metal, but not having a place to practice/not being able to put steady work into building up my volume levels.

When I was a little boy, I saw Chuck Biscuits smash a tom right off his kit, falling seven stories from the big olde skull drum riser. It changed me.

That maid really isn't the best looking, I feel the need to post a better one:

I spent 10 years unlearning bad techniques, only to learn some new ones. Hit hard AND hit soft or walk on home, boy
