New site? Maybe some day.

Fucking awesome!!!
It's true, but its because Vintersorg can't hit a note live....after Empiricism it seems like he's straining his voice to hit anything in a higher range |
Empiricism is still my favorite Bochnagar album |
How about... Bork Borknagar?
Great band. I'd love to see them live but I could see vintersorg having difficulty in some parts. |
Rumor says it came down to that label or Nuclear Blas. Apparently Nuclear Blast couldn't get the contract accounting to add up. And like Borknagar always said
...puts on sunglasses...
Numbers are the essence of all things.
YEEEEEEEEEEEEAAAAAAAAAHHHHHHHHHH |
they are hit or miss for me. Empiricism is pretty good, The Archaic Course is meh, Quintessence is awesome, and the first one is amazing. Otherwise they didn't appeal to me. |
the first track on the s/t "Vintervredets Sjelesagn" is one of the best songs ever written. |
Wait, they weren't already ON Century Media? |

I thought this too.
The two times I've seen Borknagar, the vocals were spot on! Maybe I just caught him on a couple of "good" nights? |
It's just not in Vintersorg's range - they write music that Garm and Vortex would be comfortable with, but V's really somewhere between tenor and baritone, so he's always stretching on record. Live, it's prolly a choice of going for different arrangements, or cracking out / flubbing the high notes. |
Oh come one, 2.75 at least. |
I believe they were on CM already but left, it makes sense though considering they haven't done much since Vintersorg joined. Empiricism was such a highly acclaimed album when it came out, but it kinda seemed like having Vintersorg was holding them back since he was still pretty occupied with his own thing. |
