I have mostly been really into Polyphonic groups like Kulgrinda, Bichebi, and older stuff like Bunun songs from indigenous tribes of Taiwan

Since I was a wee lad.

One of my favorite Shetland tunes (can't seem to find a video of anybody really killing it, though):

Haha, Jim, was watching some Rifftrax the other day and they totally made a Fairport reference, was stoked.

I dont know why but Irish/ British folk doesn't do it for me....I think its just that I've heard so much of it in my life. I do like The Copper Family though:

bennyhillifier

Check out Vedan Kolod...its a Russian trad. group that I first heard about when they put out one of my songs from Vysoká on a comp from their label S cythain Horn. It took me like 2 years to track down their albums, but totally worth it. I included "Wolf's Path" and "Plemena" albums The Dance of Wood Spirits would not fit.

Also, here is the album by Lithuanian group Kūlgrinda - Prūsu Giesmės (Prussian Hymns)...sung in ancient Prussian language
