toggletoggle post by dreadkill  at Jan 10,2011 7:10pm
He was the best dick ever

toggletoggle post by Boozegood at Jan 10,2011 7:15pm
That guy was a bad-ass, almost impossible to find officers like that (at least these days).

toggletoggle post by largefreakatzero at Jan 10,2011 7:40pm
Awesome dude, RIP.

Dude was a true badass and hero.

It's sad that in a few years the last of the wwII heroes will die out. They don't make people like that anymore. RIP

They certainly do, I know (and knew, RIP) some personally. People just don't care anymore.

I'm glad to know that there are still some people like that. I wish there were more. RIP to your fallen comrades.

It's hard to find who they are, as they will never in a million years admit to being such a person, and are embarrassed when they are called such. No one would know how heroic Major Richards was if no one told his story or talked to his men. I hope there will be a time when the modern heroes stories are told by historians and writers, so they can be recognized as well.

Just look at that guy Giunta who just got the medal of honor. He hates all the attention he's getting right now. In a few years everyone will forget who he is. And then maybe decades from now someone will write a book about him or his unit and then he'll be a household name again.

ask anyone not from the ww2 generation who this guy is and they won't know. He killed 50 germans at least single handedly and was the most decorated soldier in history

Funny thing is he had to fake his age to get in, and even then the navy, marines, and para-troopers denied him because they said he was too short and even the army wanted to make him a cook because he was too slight of build.

Imagine killing that many nazis
