Rockos would still look like a barmitzvah banquet hall with out dave. now it looks like a real club. if rockos doesnt care for dave then they are idiots. dont like some of the bs going on, but give vision his due.

Aaron your mistaken. Bernie put over 15k into Rocko's as soon as he took over. He is the one responsible for all of that not Dave.
Despite what people have to say about Bernie/NEC he put up his money to make Rocko's better.
He paid for the stage to be built, the electicity to be upgraded to handle the new sound system, painted the club, replaced the rug, bought all the bar stools and tables and put new lighting in.
He also started to book bigger shows and bring them to Manchester. Shows like:
Immolation/Vader
Nile
Overkill
Rotting Christ
Raven
Death Angel
Im not going to get into the this whole discussion betwem him and Dave but there always 2 sides to every story.
Im not defending NEC but there is no secret that they ask bands to sell tickets for their national shows... bands arent forced to or made to. Every band can just say no and pass on the show.
Either way, there are some sick shows coming up and I hope they stay in Manchester, because Id rather drive there then the Palladium or have to drive an hour and half to Club Hell though I think Petes doing a good job.

Actually:
Bernie spent about $500.00 on the carpet
$750.00 on upgrading the electricity
$1000.00 on the stage
He put in some tables/chairs but took them out.
All together thats $2250.00.
He stole $5200.00 from bands ( from the bleeding through tour )
so he actually made a little less than 3k.
I have been bringing in big tours to Rockos since 2007
Converge
Between the buried and me
Dying Fetus
The Faceless
Actually:
Bernie spent about $500.00 on the carpet
$750.00 on upgrading the electricity

at those prices, I want a stage built in my house!

Haha! Sounds like someone doesn't exactly understand why people hate pay-to-play douchery...
post by CANDY STRIPER DEATH ORGY at Sep 29,2010 10:48pm
You fucks... It's not pay to play... Well, I guess for you it would be. We don't pay for our tickets. We sell them!! Work to play!! You don't get the concept?
Of course... The concept is promoters/venues that are too lazy to do their job and/or too stingy to take a financial risk on a headliner or tour package. And let's be realistic here... Giving away tickets with every purchase of 2 porn DVDs isn't exactly work (and you DO end up paying when you give away hundreds of $20+ tickets over the course of a year I'm sure). But it's still something that isn't supposed to be your job, as a band.
You fucks... It's not pay to play... Well, I guess for you it would be. We don't pay for our tickets. We sell them!! Work to play!! You don't get the concept?
Only reason your still around is because you sell those tickets. Giving away tickets with porn movies does not count either.
you guys are terrible. If you were not playing i would be at the show Saturday.

You guys are idiots!! How fuckin' times do I have to tell you... It's not pay to play!! It would be for your bands... 'Cause you couldn't sell any tickets!! Between us and Crypter, we've sold 150 tickets for this show... That covers $2250.00... The tour package is $3500.00, plus sound guy, security and advertising... I've run and booked clubs over the years... So, I know what's going on with things.
The only tickets that I might give away and pay for is for radio people like : Road Kill on WHEB, Foghorn on WJUL and 1 or 2 others... I don't have to do deals to sell my tickets (like get a free cd or t-shirt or porn dvd) like other bands do.
Well, that explains that mysterious $2250 write-off on the Family Dildo Barn's books that showed up last month...
post by CANDY STRIPER DEATH ORGY at Sep 30,2010 5:39pm
I guess you dopes don't want to play big shows... We got invited to play "Oxfest" last July in Maine ('cause of all the work we do). We wouldn't of had to do anything to play. We had to turn it down 'cause of family obligations with two guys in the band. Their were tens of thousands of people at the show!!

look here we go again bashing csdo. get a life people
post by Holocausticausticaustic at Sep 30,2010 7:17pm
Yeah, you dudes are just jealous you didn't get invited to play OXFEST 2009!!
Oxfest.net: "Oxfest 2009 had more than 2,000 people in attendance."
See!!! Tens of thousands!!!
post by reign of terror at Sep 30,2010 8:01pm
2009 Oxfest had close to 10000 people. this year twice as many

You fucks... It's not pay to play... Well, I guess for you it would be. We don't pay for our tickets. We sell them!! Work to play!! You don't get the concept?
The "concept" is fucking gay!! The reality is that you must sell however many tickets if you want your band to play the show. You then hand over that money to the promoter or club, in exchange for your right to play the show. Call it whatever you want, you are still paying to play. And how's it any different if you "work to play"??? Most local bands work their asses off preparing for shows, getting their equipment playable & transported to the shows, setting up & breaking down their equipment. And obviously most bands work their asses off on stage, performing their shows. These bands do all this work for one reason... Cause they love doing it!! It certainly isn't for any money they may or may not be payed at the end of the show. And in most cases, local bands spend way more money to play a show than they are payed for a show, whether it's on gas, tolls, guitar strings, drum heads, sticks, etc. Most local bands have already payed to play a show before they even get to the club!! They usually have promoted the fuck out of the show as well. And most probably don't expect to be payed after shows, they shouldn't be expected to sell however many tickets either!! The reality is that you're on this show cause you agreed to sell tickets. But there's probably 100 other bands in New England right now who would be a much better & more deserving act on this show, but they refuse to buy their way onto the show!! They refuse to disrespect their bands names by paying to play shows. So don't get all bent outta shape because people don't agree with the "concept" that you clearly have no problem bending over for.

Haha, come to see the same show tonight/Friday, with Abnormality & Pathology, (who didn't pay to play) instead!! Club Hell, Providence RI
Between us and Crypter, we've sold 150 tickets for this show...
You and Crypter certainly deserve a pat on the back from Dave for doing all his work for him. Every band should have to sell tickets to secure a gig. Keep up the good work.
Why should it be up to the local bands to cover the cost of a tour package? The package itself should be the reason enough people come out. If there were no local bands to chew the fat off of, and no one shows, who is to blame? Yeah sure, dump it on the promoter for not "advertising enough" or some other lame excuse. How about the fact that in some cases, no one really cares that much about the tour, except the washed up or delusional people in the bands that think they are still worth a $3500 package.
This doesn't necessarily go out to the bands on this show, but how many promoters know when they have a weak package coming through, that there are always a handful of bands willing to sell tickets to cover the cost of the show, because every other self respecting band in the area actually gets asked to play plenty of great shows without selling tickets.

This is not my show.
Credits go to Bernie Goulet and the gang over at new england concerts
crypter was cool as usual. good energy and good music. they also had a bunch of their fans running around the crowd for them.
i looked at the stage flyer and it had
crypter 615-645
csdo 7-730
pathology 745-815
lecherous nocture 830-9
abagail williams 915-945
vader 10-1045
immolation 11-12
pathology was interesting, but it's distracting to see the singer of origin singing for them.
no other lecherous nocture set will out do the evacuate show, but this was good and they sounded good. the crowd was into them too. gave a cd out to the most energetic mosher.
doesnt abigail william have like keys and stuff? i think this is a more stripped down and raw version. not bad, but also not really moshable for the lil ones.
I really enjoyed the show. It was the first time I went to a show in NH. All of the touring bands were great and what I saw of CSDO seemed good. I was looking forward to checking out Lecherous and they delivered. I was expecting more "traditional" black metal vocals instead of the death vocals. The guitar players were very impressive. And of course, Immolation rules but continues to be underappreciated.

What a great show!! Thank you to everyone that came out I don't know why several people left before Abigail Williams hit the stage... Crypter was great, we killed, Vader and Immolation was awesome!!
that is another issue with the cut co style of bands selling tickets. they sell to their family and friends who dont care about he headliners. they take off after the band they bought tickets from.
post by CANDY STRIPER DEATH ORGY at Oct 3,2010 2:36pm
I think some of the people that came out for Crypter and us, just don't like Death Metal. I talked with a several people last night that told me they were all set with the Death Metal crap... I don't know, I like Death, Thrash, old style Hardcore... I like it all!!
post by nhmetalhead at Oct 3,2010 3:58pm
By the time the headliners went on there seemed to be half as many people left, not that it was packed to begin with. Having the bar downstairs didn't help the place any either.
post by BOTG Crust at Oct 3,2010 6:19pm
Thrash bands sell tickets for a death metal tour package and no one stays for the headliners.....big surprise. Just another example of a poorly booked show there. Dave doesn't care who he books just as long as they sell tickets for him.
