On September 8th Sweden's ultimate progressive metal band, Katatonia, will kick off their North American tour - the "Night Over North America" tour - in Baltimore. To coincide with the 26-date US and Canadian tour, Peaceville Records will release a special edition of the acclaimed 2009 studio album, Night Is The New Day, in a hardback mediabook, with 20 page booklet, and bonus track, "Ashen". The special edition Night Is The New Day will be available on August 24th.

Now the band is set to unleash their brand of melancholy metal on North America, headlining the MetalSucks.net sponsored, "Night Over North America" tour, alongside Swallow The Sun and Orphaned Land. A teaser trailer for the forthcoming headlining US tour can be seen at: http://www.vimeo.com/12823455.

Peaceville had already re-released BMD in a shitty digipak version. Not sure on its availability now, though.

That September 11th date at The Palladium seems to conflict with the Hank Williams III show on the same night at the same venue. Any insight on this?

Hank is downstairs, katatonia is upstairs

Oh, okay. Well maybe when Hank kicks into his Assjack stuff, which I don't care for, I can sneak upstairs and hear some 'Last Fair Deal Gone Down' material.
