I bought this mp3 player, it says on the box compatible with Itunes... I went to Itunes to get some songs and now I have no idea how to get them on the device... Why do they make this so complicated?

You throw away that RCA piece of shit and buy something else.

toggletoggle post by Alexecutioner at Aug 9,2010 5:15pm
did you try deleting your RCA opal mp3 players system32 folder?

techno wizardry

i have the same MP3 player. don't bother with Itunes, just drag and drop files into the "music" folder on the RCA

mp3? what does it mean?

toggletoggle post by IllinoisEnemaBradness at Aug 9,2010 6:43pm
I'm someone who listens to albums rather than playlists, so the RCA ok. I have to do a hard boot alot, especially after taking off/putting on files. That's when you hold down the button on the side for 10 seconds and it resets the player to default. It doesn't erase the songs, just any EQ or menu settings.

if I had to do it again I'd save my money and get an Ipod or a Zune player.

in b4 PAUL CNV and OP have brofest about being technologically incompetent

I'd be very careful with plugging the RCA into anything you value as they fucking suck when it comes to overloading electronics.

RCA mp3 players bricked my gaming rig five years ago and even managed to brick my first car.

I had two Lyra's, first one didn't charge through the usb port, came with a car kit, plugged the kit into my car's cigarette lighter and heard a pop from behind the dash.

Started driving and my meters stopped working, dash lights went out and after about a mile the car completely died.

The second one (RCA sent me a newer replacement model after I complained about my broken car and mp3 player) charged via usb but constantly crashed and needed to be reset. I had it for about 4 months, came home from a roadtrip and went to plug it in to my pc to charge. Another wonderful RCA pop and I was out a power supply and motherboard.

damn, that's fucked up. Besides having to reset it every once in a while it's been pretty reliable, the Opal that is

Oh and my girlfriend purchased an RCA iPod nano-equivalent with a scroll wheel that fell apart while scrolling through her music.

Hello my name is Paul and I play in a safe and politically correct poser black metal band... Can I get a slot on the next Metal Thursday?

toggletoggle post by MetalThursday  at Aug 9,2010 10:35pm
Jeez you make one Musacha Tapes reference and people get all nasty...

I might be putting together a black metal themed Metal Thursday in a couple of months. Politically correct poser black metal bands would fit right in. As long as you're not planning a skinhead rally that day, it could be awesome!

Edit: Just to clarify, there is some sarcasm there. It would be good to have a local black metal band that has never played a MT before. I thought CNV only did shows once in a blue moon.

ZUNE ftw

Thing has lasted me for YEARS without problems. One time it froze, turned out it was a leap year issue, fixed within a few hours ANNND they gave us free games. Noice.

Sometime in October might work... We need to teach the new drummer the songs... It would be a cd release show

I'll talk to Chris and see if there is anything we can do. October is all his right now, and there is a bunch of stuff already booked, so I don't know what plans he has. You can always send an e-mail to MetalThursday (at) gmail (dot) com and let us know what your plans are.
