i may be making this up in my head but im sure it exsists. i want some kind of smartphone that is hacked to be able to hack into other peoples accounts and use their airtime, or at least use WIFI and something like majikjack so i can avoid spending 100 a month on texts and shit. does anyone know if i can just buy a blackberry/droid, never activate it and just use it? im not above buying chinese bootlegs or prototypes.. i have a cheapo cellphone for phone calls. is there a way to steal 3G?

To answer your question legitimately, you can but a smartphone and never activate it, but the cost is ridiculously bad and it's not worth it. For half the price you can get a more powerful netbook.

For instance, YES you can use the EVO to log onto WiFi without a service plan. It is $600 new without one. You can get an EEEPC netbook for $250, brand new, and it's 3x the computer that the EVO is when it's not a phone.

for $199 on ebay you should be able to get a palm pre which might do what you want. the verizon one has wifi radios
