Tourist Is Rescued At The Brink Of Niagara Falls
July 29, 2000
NIAGARA FALLS, N.Y. -- A tourist who lost his footing along the Niagara River clung to a rock in the middle of pounding rapids near the brink of Niagara Falls as rescuers teetered across a fallen tree to reach him. John Dwyer, 30, of Newport, R.I., would have been swept over the falls had he lost his grip, Park Police said Friday, a day after the rescue. Dwyer was treated for shock and exposure and later charged with reckless endangerment and disorderly conduct.

"Well, unfortunatley The John Dwyer Effect is breaking up cause John Dwyer fucked us over. We're getting disillusioned with the future and the music business so we've decided to call it quits.
Sucks too cause we were getting ready to release our debut cd entitled "Dwyerism".

Despite the break-up I would like to send a huge thanks out to all the John Dwyer effect fans out there that made our existance possible. We had a great 3 weeks of existance and we enjoyed every minute of it. The fans are what we live for, so we just wanted to say thanks for all that you've done.
I honestly thought that we were on the right track to greatness and that the band would succeed, but with the whole Pathos thing, shit just hasn't been going right at all.
The whole thing is kinda depressing to me.... Anyway, I'm going to be taking a trip up to Niagra Falls this weekend, so you guys might not hear from me for a while. " |
