A $20 metal t-shirt, black jeans (also $20), and the $300 fully-configured scene camouflage jacket at the right will make anyone think you're a diehard. You can literally buy your way into metal, and not ever "get it": understand the spirit, the lifestyle, the music itself. To you, it's just sonic wallpaper or another amusement while you stumble through life.

Oooo, just too many masculine bands on that jacket. And where's the Wolves in the Throne Room, the Katatonia, and the Opeth? Can't accessorize that.

Buy your way into metal

This is true but its slightly more turbid considering the subject matter you post about and the frequency with which you do. your status is about as legit as someone who would purchase this item. irony be over rated but, can one "post" their way into metal, and more specifically, can they post their way to the death metal "elite."

cheers good sir-

LOL @ even considering Katatonia a metal band, at this point.

toggletoggle post by MillenialKingdom  at Jul 30,2010 7:51pm
Their newest album is quite heavy actually.

toggletoggle post by MikeofdecrepitudE at Jul 30,2010 7:53pm
Yeah, there are traces of metal and some chug riffs, but overall it would be like calling Tool a metal band.

toggletoggle post by demondave at Jul 30,2010 7:58pm

the alternative is sewing. Is that more metal?

They're metal enough to punish my prostate all night long and I'll still sing "Porcelain Heart" in a falsetto.

I'm gonna buy that vest. Then I'm going to spend the next 15 years complaining that Metal hasn't progressed enough for my vest. Then I'll post about it. Yep... can't wait. Gonna be awesome.

Sewing, knitting, crocheting, stitching -- all of that shit is totally metal. Most people don't have the mental focus to do any of those.
