Who's going? And have they released set times yet? Buncha terrible bands playing, but you cant NOT go see Decapitated for 20 bucks.

toggletoggle post by reimroc at Jul 28,2010 11:09am
I only care for Decapitated, Cephalic Carnage and Animals as Leaders. Other than that this show can go lick smegma.

toggletoggle post by the_reverend   at Jul 28,2010 11:40am
I'll be there.

toggletoggle post by Archaeon at Jul 28,2010 11:47am
Decap is only playing like 2 or 3 songs that are pre organic. Their sucks for this tour. Plus who wants to see a decap cover band?

toggletoggle post by Woah!_Shut_It_Down!  at Jul 28,2010 1:32pm
The Red Chord, Decrepit Birth, CC, Animals As Leaders, Carnifex, Decapitated, and The Faceless are definitely gonna give me a good run for my money... I fuckin' hope. See y'all not there.

I wanted to go so bad this year to see Decapitated but I have no way down there.

toggletoggle post by blue  at Jul 28,2010 5:39pm
mr. mason offered me a guest spot, but i cannot due to being in albany.

would be cool to see cephalic, TRC, DB & the decap cover band

*rubs in that i saw decapitated's first show in the US ever in 2002, aaron was there too (milwaukee metal fest 2002)*

am i the only one who likes animals as leaders around here?

toggletoggle post by Archaeon at Jul 28,2010 6:39pm
Most of the board does. I saw them with Dillinger. they're tight live.

I've seen every decent band on this at least once except for The Red Chord and Vital Remains. Hence why I'm not going.

Decapitated's new vocals have a bit of a hahdcoah tinge to them. Running around like retarded children on the outer perimeter of a 360 degree apparatus anyone?

I hate when bands do that, it's never the same.
Plus vocals make or break bands for me so when a good singer is replaced by a shitty one, I'm out.

i felt the same way with that guy on Organic Hallucinosis. he was awful. on the live DVD that came with the re-release of Winds of Creation he blew out his voice about 30 seconds into the first song, and then sounds like flat shit for the rest of the set. i'm surprised Sauron didn't come back.

they usually let you huddle in a small area out front to smoke butts. thats about it.

toggletoggle post by ouchdrummer   at Jul 30,2010 5:25pm
that blows about no re-entry. I know fo SURE that i wanna see the last two bands (facelss/decap) and i def wanna see Decrepit too (their new record strangulates babies... by the way) but i don't wanna sit in that disgustingly stank hot, humid place for the 5 hours in between. uhhghghhg, it sucks getting older.

It was cooler when you used to atleast pretend to like metal bands and music.

toggletoggle post by the_reverend   at Jul 31,2010 4:00pm
someone go to my fb and link the pictures of the schedule that i took. vital is going on second down stairs in 10 minutes.

the worst part of this or the apocalypse is that this was the first time i wore shoes in like 2 weeks. i fell down some steps backstage.

taxicab sounded a lot more like the red chord on that big stage. there were A LOT of people in the crowd for them.

toggletoggle post by the_reverend   at Jul 31,2010 4:30pm
blind witness was a little awkward. but they brought it together after a song. this is definitely a band for the kids. the average age of the audience was at least 10 years younger than the people down stairs to see...

vital remains. this has to be one of the best sounding sets ive heard them do since either the NYC or MDF set with anthony back in 2006? some of the guitar solos were Swallowed by the palladium mix, but still sounded so full and so powerful. funny as i typed that, scott asked for the lead guitars to be raise. im not sure anymore who is playing leads since ive never seen his face.

the drummer from burning the masses made burning the masses a better burning the maSses. more like burning the ma$$e$. he was an awesome drummmer. oh and i saw some kid doing flips in the pit.

toggletoggle post by the_reverend   at Jul 31,2010 5:14pm
animals as leaders are on right now. awesome sounding. the light parts are lost a bit in the echoy air up here, but still excellent. the lead guitarist was playing through a rig that said animosity on it.

toggletoggle post by the_reverend   at Jul 31,2010 5:28pm
ok that band i called blind witness wasnt blind witness since blind witness is on right now. hm...kids seem to like this blind witness better.

toggletoggle post by the_reverend   at Jul 31,2010 5:32pm
ok.. circle of contempt and blind witness switched.

toggletoggle post by the_reverend   at Jul 31,2010 5:56pm
ok, how awesome would it be is my spell correcting turned carnifex into carfax. is carfax a word? or just a website to tell you that your car went into a pond before you bought it? all the kids from upstairs came down to see this band. they love screaming "what the fuck" also, there was a kid in the front that had socks on his arms. SOCKS ON HIS ARMS HOW DO THEY WORK. seriously i want to know cause if they are awesome. i need in.

toggletoggle post by the_reverend   at Jul 31,2010 6:03pm
somehow i knew like 2 thick as blood songs. the crowd was kind of thin for them. people rushed in when they were done to see the next band.

toggletoggle post by the_reverend   at Jul 31,2010 6:32pm
decrepit birth asked for people to get up on stage. that went over about as well as you would think. the results were retardulous.

toggletoggle post by quintessence_nli at Jul 31,2010 6:32pm
That entire show sounds retardulous..

toggletoggle post by the_reverend   at Jul 31,2010 7:17pm
well, tonydanza had just about the biggest collection of stage diving fails that i have ever witnessed in one place at one time.

cephalic, a band i love, played a bunch of songs i didnt know and ther were a bunch of people i didnt know on stage.

toggletoggle post by the_reverend   at Jul 31,2010 7:29pm
arsonists get all the girls was super hot and sweaty. I ended up catching a lot of the action. then i went downstairs to catch the rest of cephalic only to hear cephalic finishing their last song. so i went back up stairs and watched the whole arsonist band swap instruments and pull kids up on stage.

toggletoggle post by boner at Jul 31,2010 9:20pm
Hey I know you guys aren't done playing but I'm just gunna sit at my drum set on stage anyway.

toggletoggle post by the_reverend   at Jul 31,2010 9:24pm
viel of maya was ok once they got going. i always say i will chekc them out in recorded form. but never do.

oceano had new members but the packed house pretty much went bananas for them.

toggletoggle post by Archaeon at Jul 31,2010 9:26pm
So glad I didn't go to this.

toggletoggle post by the_reverend   at Jul 31,2010 9:27pm
the red chord played as flawlessly as ever. alwas a good show. the crowd surfing confusion kept a lot of the security busy for their set.

no one in all shall perished look familiar at all. eh, maybe the singer in a short of rip van winkle way where you can kind of tell who he was under the beard. they did shout out boarcorpse. that leaves e to believe that maryjuana is involved in someones night.

toggletoggle post by the_reverend   at Jul 31,2010 9:28pm
asp's bass drops also almost killed me. that is a sonic weapon.

toggletoggle post by i_am_not_me   at Aug 1,2010 12:37am
I got there for the last song of Animals as Leaders. Argh. And sitting through Veil of Maya, the Red Chord, All Shall Perish, and (to a lesser extent) the Faceless was quite tiring, and I almost felt drained by the time Decapitated got on.

(And seriously, 45 minute set? WTF?)

toggletoggle post by immortal13 at Aug 1,2010 1:27am
Animals as Leaders was amazing. Same with The Red Chord.

In all honesty though, Cephalic Carnage opening with that Boston intro I can't remember the name of right now ruled.
