Album is incredible. Highly recommend getting it ASAP, if you haven't already.
HUGE riffs, and a simple heaviness that is both catchy and devastating. Lots of old-school deathmetal influence. Harkens back to when hardcore was just about being fucking HARD. No frivolous guitar antics or drum theatrics. Vocals are excellent. Super intense production by Kurt Ballou.
Totally has the Entombed guitar tone, which is fucking awesome.
One of those albums that begs to be played at high volume, only to be turned up to extremes during the "pay-off" parts (as I refer to them).
Given what this band sounds like, it's pretty funny to me the kind of bands they tour with. I think it goes clear over most peoples heads that this is an old school death metal band and most kids seeing them are like "YEAH THEY'RE THIS AWESOME NEW HARDCORE BAND LOL"

thats true but i can't blame people for thinking that. take a look at guns up which is basically entombed with breakdowns and rise and fall.
i checked it out. it's pretty good. i guess i'd prefer to listen to actual old-school death metal though.
i guarantee you 50000% that in a few years there will be a whole bunch of these kind of bands.
Too late. There is already a old school death metal revival going on. Everyone and their mother is starting to throw HM-2s in front of their amps again.
