This game has consumed my life for the past two weeks. I have sunk in over 35 fucking hours and I just started playing the multiplayer. I haven't even finished the story yet because I honestly don't want it to end. Most likely my favorite game since GTA III.

Just downloaded the co-op missions. Have yet to play anything in in two weeks, but will play those once I get the chance.

I guess I don't know how to auto-aim. I can't read the writing on the screen to read how to auto-aim. I always seem to end up with the person shooting me in my blind spot.

I have a 48" rear project TV and I can't read them. they just look like a MFR dm logo. I can read the stuff at the bottom of the screen just find, but not the stuff in that corner. Also, if I do stumble through it before it disappears, I can tell the difference between L1, L2, L3, R1, R2, R3, or anything else other than the four bottoms (cause they are colored).

arron, the text is definitely squished together in this game, but it sounds like you have a case of rear projection TV. if your xbox is running at 1080i switch to 720p

well the only body of water in the game is the 'rio grande' and you can't cross the border before the story progresses. lame excuse for not being able to swim though. techinically if you could swim your guns would no longer work but since it's a GAME tying up your bounty and gunning down his posse makes up for it.

aaron, if you can't read something that comes on the screen, the Journal/Briefs screen keeps the last 7-8 hints in it so you can read 'em there

I think autoaim works when you have the target centered in screen when you draw your gun, not sure though

L3 is completely different than R2. I've been in a store near a wall, hit R2 and flattened against the wall looking out the door.

I love playing bioshock cause when ever I come to a fight, I end up just scrolling through all my weapons instead of shooting.

I'm starting to get more and more into this game. all the running around sort of reminds me of Far Cry 2. I hope that doesn't mean it's going to get annoying. I think that there is too much stuff going on in too small of an area. I'm constantly walked into bandits, camp fires, etc... but they are all right next to each other. Like everyone is actors acting out their little parts right next to each other but not interacting at all.

I'm inclined to check it out considering how much I enjoy other Bioware games (currently playing Mass Effect 2), but the setting looks kind of gay and I'd rather play Oblivion or whatever before getting into it.

My experience with Dragon Age sucked. It's just too slow moving and the dialogue is so monotonous and boring. Compared to Mass Effect 2, Dragon Age is a joke. It's really like they didn't try and just got by with the bare minimum. But I hate Oblivion too so don't listen to me.

bare minumum? it's a huge game with a ton of characters you can use. It's a turn-based game at heart so maybe that's why it seems slow.

I haven't played ME or JE, but consider it similar to the Baldur's Gate style of games- you control a party, it plays out in realtime although you can pause it to issue commands. You can leave your team on their own or your AI as well.

Mass Effect is the most homo-erotic game I have ever played. So fucking boring and the framerate is ass. Shooting mechanics are total shit as well. I hear ME2 is way better though.

Shooting mechanics in ME2 are way better. In fact it's a much better game all around. They figured out they wanted to make an adventure/shooter in the first place and it became a class-based Gears of War. But you can't have ME2 without ME1.

Ya when I said Mass Effect, I was referring to ME2. I have very little experience with it but it just seemed more fleshed out. There wasn't any awkward voice acting or weird movements. Seriously, some parts of Dragon Age made me cringe.

The only part that made me cringe was hearing Captain Janeway.

The music in the both Mass Effect games is intoxicating. I really loved ME1 but was super fucking easy. ME2, I have yet to finish, but should.

Like a lot of BioWare games it starts off really slow. It also took me a while to get used to the insane amount of dialogue sections, but really, it's a necessity for having actual role-playing content. The dialogue control isn't just going through motions... it actually changes the game.

Saying it has a 'bare minimum' is pretty retarded. I haven't beaten it yet, but I imagine you could play it a hundred times and have a different experience with eat time through.

Because I was most definitely serious. Like I said already, it was bare minimum compared to ME2. They stopped the second it felt like a Bioware game. Maybe Dragon Age 2 will be better but I really disliked Origins.

Just got a copy the other day, haven't started it yet though. Used copies at Gamestop are normally $55, but are on sale for $40, so there's finally a bit of a price-break for those (like me) not down for $60 gaming. I'm guessing that price will hold through Xmas.

The story is pretty awesome until the last 10-ish missions.
Then it gets boring. I guess it's like a old cowboy's life which ends slowly and then you die.

I'm 46.something % through... This is a damn good time, but it didn't quite hook me like GTA4 did. Then again, I never got to butcher a horse in GTA...

This 3rd level Dead Eye is fucking tough, not sure I like it better than the 2nd... Sometimes you don't care about getting headshots, just painting up 7 or 8 banditos for body shots and letting rip with the repeater... It would be nice if you could hold down R1 to paint everything the reticule crosses, or at least if it gave a little flash or something when you were over a target. As it is, it's hard to get more than 2 or 3 targets in 3rd level without running out of time.
