4:10 - 4:35 - Putrescence (main room) the comments before they played each song was the best. Hilarious, but delivered very dry.

Defeatist ruled so fucking hard, one of the tightest grind bands I've ever seen. I've gotten some awesome merch/CDs as well.

4:50 - 5:20 - Defeatist (main room) agree with lamp. Though their sets always seem to sound the same cause they are so tight.

5:35 - 6:05 - Tombs (main room) these guys are on right now. Ive already said how much i love them so no news here. It's also funny that George is here cause of the connection to mike's record label.

it's funny how much down time ive had today.

Malignancy is pretty okay live but I probably wouldn't listen on my own time. I wasn't into Tombs at all.

6:20 - 6:50 - Jesus Crost (main room) really good 2 man grind band. though lamp can probably tell me why they arent grind, they arent core, and he hates when people tell him that jesus chrost is grind. The drummer kept yelling german numbers.

6:45 - 7:20 - Malignancy (outside 2) the best part about seeing them live is the stage banter. They had people circle pitting on the cement and falling down. Skinned knees are krieg. Lamp, i find their CDs always sound better. check out the song about MS. that song is funny.

7:05 - 7:35 - Birds of Prey (main room) almost missed them. This was their first show too. I kept seeing dave witte around and didnt know why. Then i saw him carrying an alabama thunder pussy guitar case and was explained to just who was in the band.

5:50 - 6:30 - Nazxul (outside 1) they sounded good, but not really knowing them, i was a little bored. It also took them a while to set up cause of the keyboard player. For most of their set, i sat in the grass and typed this.

I don't know which band Jesus Crost was, I might have seen or heard them, might not. I'd never heard of them before this fest. I was outside watching Malignancy with one of my friends. Then we watched the first song of Nazxul who were beyond boring. Inside waiting for Watain to start!

8:35 - 9:35 - Watain (main 2) when they finally came out on stage after an ancient ritual was completed (the ceremony of lighting every incense one at a time), the stench from them wasnt like a pound to the face. It was more like a rotting rat corpse found its way into my food. Then i realize at the first bite swallowed that it was rancid meat so i vomited the not well chewed rat corpse up so violently that it came out my nose, wedging a piece of the rotted flesh in my nasal passage. That is sort of what watain's smell is like. I was trying to mouth breath, but i could taste it. Im also a pussy cause i got blood dripped on me and frowned. I actually factually in real life made a frowny face. FOL. Sweet set though. They did a 10 minute version of sworn to the dark. did they end with storm of the antichrist? that would be the only thing that would make me mad about missing their last song.

Watain was pretty fucking cool and something I was looking forward to. It got to be a bit much though, I got punched in the nose at one point and wasn't able to get as into it after that. I'm getting a listen of Gorguts from a distance right now, I'll probably go in soon so I can get up front for Gride.

Watain covered return of darkness and evil and it's prolly gonna be my highlight. Gorguts kills from afar.

I'm actually standing on a wall behind the stage just outside the fence watching Gorguts right now, pretty good angle. Too bad the smelly traveler hobos are here right now.

I'm so glad I got to see Gorguts @ Great Scott the other night; sound at this outside stage blows unless you're kinda close. I had a good spot but moved to the back after some dude kept grinding into me. Bah. Dysrhythmia dude's guitarist keeps cutting out too, which sucks.

I went inside to prepare for Gride, first time I've been right at the barrier this whole fest.

9:40 - 10:40 - Gorguts (outside 1) idk about that mfr. I saw the disrythmia dude stop playing a bunch of times. I thought he was fucking up, but maybe it was his gear that was fucking up. The line up of fill ins sounds solid besides that. Its the way he plays the cynbols that does it. Aso, his kick drum was triggered like a beast. Every single time he hit the pedals, the entire stage shook like an earth quake.

Gride ruled hard! They were a real blur, one of the fastest bands I've ever seen. Iny was also making some pretty funny faces and gestures throughout the set. I really don't care about Coffins right now, gotta rest up to get a front row spot for DRI.

I'm high as shit, drinking homemade guinea-uncle wine with friends and saving $400. Fuck y'all mothafuckaz in Baltimore. I seen The Wire - I hope you all get accosted by harsh natives.
