Why are some shows 18+ and others 21+? I ask this since I'm turning 18 soon(woot woot) and I'm sad to see that some events are still way out of my reach. What's the reason for it?
And I ask this for the benefit of my younger metalhead friends: Do they check ID often? Some of them look old-ish with their facial hair and whatnot.
It's about licensing fees and whether the club wants to deal with making sure 18-20 year olds don't drink. Sometimes it's easier to know that everyone in the building is allowed to drink.
Ah yes, the drinking age. Makes sense, but still, plenty of places that serve beer don't have such rules. So eh, 3 years to go and I'll be hanging around people that are probably more drunk than the average beer selling(or giving out) venue.
