If you keep booking these awesome shows the same day as metal thursday I'm gonna stab myself in the eyeball. How about booking shittier lineups on the metal thursdays? just sayin.
Well, I wasn't aware that Metal thursdays were on the first and third thursdays of each month when I started this thing. It's too late to change it now unfortunately...would rather work in conjunction instead of on the same nights but it is what it is. Bummer.
it's really not a big deal. sometimes one show has a weaker lineup than the other. some weeks both shows have killer lineups. sometimes i just dont feel like driving past worcester.
saw howl last nite in providence. dont see how they sound like mastodon at all. holy fucking college fag kid hipster crowd. metal heads were outnumbered like 5 to 1 at that show.
missed the first 2 bands. deleting arrows was some cool psyche rock. Sea of bones was crushing but a little boring with the drummers back facing us and the guitar players way in the back. Sin of Angels crushed. Howl played a rockin set. One of those "bumper cars" type mosh pits broke out for the howl set. silly college kids.
Astronomer will go on between 10 and 10:15ish depending on the crowd and Howl at 11 or 11:15ish depending on how long Astronomer plays, changeover etc etc.
