So if you haven't noticed, we haven't played any shows the past two months, and we're continuing to not. At this point in time, I don't feel it's a good idea to continue as a band, especially locally.

After almost 10 years of going to shows, and two years of being in Debaser; to play a show now, I'd find to not be in my best interests really. So I might as well stop tap-dancing around illusions of grandeur and go back to reality. I've lost my outlet for my escape from reality, and to try and enter back is just foolish. There's too many misconceptions and complications where I can't continue being apart of the scene. So for my own sake, as well as some close loved ones, I feel it's best to just remove myself from all of this. It's come to the point where there's no good and there's no positivity around here to stay around in hardcore, or this city for that matter.

So with that said, we'll be forever in debt to our close friends in Beartrap, Energy, Borderland, Frogball, and Last Lights for always helping us out and giving us support from the start. Mike Assatly, Jeff Hunter, Dominic Mallory, Josh Hynes, Pat Flynn, Kimberly, Rudd, and anyone else who helps piece together the scene and helped bring us to their part of the state. All the awesome venues like Afghanistan, Fort Fuck Awesome, Handsome Mansion, Crescent Cafe, RAD Skatepark, ICC, Cave 9, Montrose Basement, and so many more nation-wide. They helped us grow into what we became musically, and were the reason we got to see as much of the scene and country as we could of. Thank you so much to Seb from Just Another Day Records for putting out our first official release and helping spread the name of Debaser globally. Thank you so much to Joey & all of 6131 Records for wanting to give us a chance and help us further ourselves as a band and giving us hope and a chance of taking this music further. Dan Mancini for filling in all the time and helping us stay afloat when things were difficult and too busy for some of us. Seriously though we can't thank Mike Assatly enough for booking tours/shows, filling in for us on any instrument and pushing us to get off our asses. He is the most important person to the Boston scene.

The biggest thanks to all the kids who went out of their way to see us, who felt we were worth blindly checking out, who bought merch, who downloaded our music, or helped others get into what we were doing. All of the kids who want hardcore for progressive, productive, and positive reasons for themselves and others around them and aren't afraid to speak up. The kids who want a diverse, unified, nonviolent scene, and who continue to work for it. ESPECIALLY the Stoughton straight edge, all the kids, our friends, young and old who found a place in hardcore punk and joined us for all our shows, basement hang outs, pool parties, frisbee matches and various forms of vandalism/mischief. Vegan, straight edge, feminists, human rights supporters, you're what keeps the thought process from dimming. Thank you so much for making these past two years the most intense and memorable. I'm terribly sorry if I left anyone or anything out, also my deepest sympathies to all the kids who we never ventured out to, and won't be seeing us again. My mind is all over the place.

Also make sure to listen to bands that have our 100% support and share our beliefs and will probably be the changing face of current hardcore punk and beyond: Touche Amore, Lewd Acts, Mountain Man, Product Of Waste, Defeater, Short Ride, Male Nurses, Borderland, Children Of The Night, Energy, and Beartrap.

Also honorable mention to the photographers who have made us look way better than we actually are: Future Breed, Zac Wolf, Human Buffet, The Rev, and many more I'm sure.

But yeah, we're dead. No more shows. I'm done.

Thank you, and I'm sorry. Farewell.

-Greg, Kyle, Dose, Kevin, & Dan
