First, let me say, I really like the song.
From an engineering standpoint, I understand that the drums in most DM are meant to sound dry. You can definitely hear everything (a good thing).

But, IMO I feel it lacks atmosphere. I do not like the drum sound. The snare is a bit up front in the mix. At times, it is all I can focus on. A little reverb on a few key pieces could have helped the track mesh together better. Everything else sounds pretty good though.

low budget was low. i think the general idea got across pretty well though. thanks for all the input. also we just re-recorded "Raped til Death" with Jason @ Heavy Sound Studios and the drums will probably sound more to everyones liking on that. still trying to decide out to release that track however.

thoughts on the drum sound is definitely appreciated, its definitely still a learning process for me, knowing what i need to catch for next time, what would you say are the exact spots that you would have altered? overall i thought it sounded great but there is always room for improvement
