I just noticed that there was NO thread for this show. As Obscura released one of the best recent records, i am thrilled about them playing the mideast. Great sound, and i can stumble to the red line to get home. Fucking A.
nice this show is on my birthday. i definately wont be attending this show tripping and end up leaving early because of people Singing along with 3 inches of blood.. that was fuckin horendous.
Bass playing on that Obscura is pants-filling (front and back). Total rhythm section porn.
Yep.
Jeez i can't believe i didn't do the day, i quoted from the events page, i guess i missed the day. Woops. Anywho, this show WILL sell out, that's why i'm buying tix tomorrow morning when i have my direct deposit.
And the middle east sound KILLz the paladium. It's no HOB, but i'm happy to see good music there any night.
Yes, this will be an awesome show. I was trying to figure out (without googling it) which club has a bigger capacity. I was betting HF by about 40people.. let's find out:
wow... i was way off. HF has about twice the capacity of ME. I knew it was a lot bigger, but i didn't think it was twice the size.. well, it is a wide open room and it's really wide. I love HF. I always have a good time there.. except for paper. :(
anyone know what the deal is with tickets? they are still on sale saying its at the middle east im guessing harpers will take them?
heads up dude.. harpers WILL NOT take tickets you bought at the middle east. which is totally weak. you've gotta get your $$ back from mid east and buy new ones from harpers. so fucking stupid, but grab your new tix fast, think this'll sell out.

seems like it hasnt sold out... yet......
buyin' my ticket tonite.
got in just in time for hatesphere. i had read the comments they made about their quick replacement of the singer who departed right before this tour started and they said they were going to still rage and they did. the set was awesome. they even played the requests of a guy in the audience. weird that an opening band is just THAT professional. first gig in the US too. the new singer was different that the recordings. he sang less deathmetal than the CDs.
this place smells like something died in it. rotting fleisch. the crowd is super young.
This show was great, and the sound was pretty damn good for a lot of it. Augury and Obscura ruled my socks off.

Look at these fans comments on the aftermath of this show : weak moshing, people getting thrown out..... this is proof positive how much better this show would've been had it been where it was originally scheduled at the MiddleEast.
and by that i mean "why does this sound like whatever guitar you can hear is failing really hard at playing his own song?"

holy shit that sounds so awful man... what a disappointment...

p.s. that wasnt me failing at trying to post as someone else... i was just listening to the audio for the third time and that is a sad attempt at trying to play "Universe Momentum"

it's even worse when you have listened to the song like 100 times and you know it in and out...

Yes, the rhythm guitar(vocalist) was definitely off. The rest of the band was mostly perfect though. I wish bands like this would get a separate vocalist so that the rhythm player would play his parts correctly.

From my experience the MiddleEast aren't really down with that sorta thing too much either. Everyone should just play Unit 11, the world would be a better place. haha.
