im here for a bunch of locals. i came to check out the new stage. it is amazing. this looks more like the church now, but with a bigger stage. it's crazy what they did here. they even took out the dj booth and the deviders. the stage is 2' tall. crazy. sort of wish this were here for WOP, but im sort of glad it wasnt. black bear is going to be nuts later on.

humanitys demise played for like minutes after i got in. idk why they ended early, but there is a longish pause cause of it.

I was also smart and wore shorts.

i would think they would be on last. oh well. weird trying to get down with the new set up. for some reason i feel infinitely more awkward of all the people who im walking in front of.

also, trying to get my flashes set up right.

a desolate age had something vaguely amon amarthy to them. something to do with the slow death metal sound just made me feel like i was rowing to a distant shore to fight a battle. the one thing i didnt like was their last song said "somethingsomething something god of war" which they obviously picked soley cause they knew i went to best buy right before this show to get a copy of god of war for the psp and they didnt have it there. arg!

oh and their drummer looked a lot like handinjury so i kept doing double takes.

fate worse than death were ok. too many breakdowns for mysekf. there was also a little scuffle during their set. oh and i think they had a song called too brual for durham.

there was a huugge pause before black bear cause no spies like us. that didnt help with my tiredness. the set though was quite satisfying. seemed really short.

conforza played. weird seeing them on a stage.

say your last words played. i think the guy that was the bassist was running their lights.

then dave thirsty did a stage dive when there was no music on.

ok.. all the faces in the crowd.... I'm pretty much in stitches over there.

at the shadowsfall show there, I thought it was going to be another station disaster. Best thing about that places was the sound so I'm glad they are getting the sound from there.
