This guy

I hear he is interested in politics.

toggletoggle post by TheRidersofDoom  at Jan 27,2010 1:05pm
reminds me of the episode of twilight zone with the phantom of hitler always watching and jeering on evil people in some guise

toggletoggle post by arilliusbm  at Jan 27,2010 1:10pm
it's more fun watching wall street get slammed right now

toggletoggle post by TheRidersofDoom  at Jan 27,2010 1:13pm
the thing is it goes under anytime that jackass opens his mouth. I wish there was an ongoing track of it, because I always hear about anytime he talks about the future wall street just nosedives if it's open.

I'll be watching to see what he says about the Constellation program. I usually don't give a shit what the president does. But cutting off funding to NASA when we're so close to major breakthroughs is about as dumb as going to a war with a country under false pretenses.

I'm kind of interested to know if Obama has any plans for education since he hasn't done jack shit with that so far...

This is what im so pissed about. I'm usually pretty relaxed about uh, pretty much everything. But space stuff gets me riled up. I totally expected the Ares rocket to get canned. But not the whole Constellation program entirely.

I'll opt for a listen of Biohazard's State of the World address, instead.

toggletoggle post by TheRidersofDoom  at Jan 27,2010 3:07pm
Problem with Nasa is it consumes the most money without giving back, in the short term anyways, but in the long term it is crucial as hell, but try telling that to the old farts who'll be dead in 20 years that run congress.

IT'S THE STATE OF THA UNION ADDRESS, MOTHERFUCKERRRRRRRRRRRRRR!!!!!!!!

I can't believe no one is bumping this....
Too much clapping.
I've been listening for 30 minutes and he's not said anything that I didn't agree with. It just sucks for me that I paid for my college tuition in short order.

I liked when he talked about the deficit when he came into office, biden said "it's true" to pelosi. Then they went to McCain, but I couldn't read his lips through his neck flapping.

Fuck this country, fuck politics, fuck the president, burn burn burn.

LOL

toggletoggle post by the_reverend   at Jan 27,2010 10:58pm
the GOP response was weak. he either said "I agree with what he said", "I agree with what he did IRL, but didn't mention", or "I hate poor people and want to rape the environment."

toggletoggle post by xanonymousx at Jan 27,2010 11:33pm
pretty good. i hope what he says happens before i turn 66

toggletoggle post by neverpurified  at Jan 28,2010 12:00am
for what it's worth, the ideas and programs presented forth in tonight's speech seem noble enough, and are pretty much the same things he said when running for president. It just goes to show you he really is helpless as congress is all set to bicker back and forth between the left and the right.

He hit the nail on the head when he talked about how congress' job is not to simply disagree with the other party just because it's the other party.

I am so glad that Obama seems to have found a new voice for his rhetoric. I think this somber yet witty Obama is a really good direction to go for his public speech. This past year of boring monotone blah blah blah was pathetic compared to his campaign speeches.

As for the substance of the speech if completes even one of the goals he's setting out to do, he'll be my hero. Reforming the student loan system, bank and finance accountability, end of Don't Ask Don't Tell, reducing the nat'l debt significantly, meaningful healthcare reform(the least likely), or bringing an end to the Perpetual Campaign mindset of Washington politics.

Managing to get any of those done will get him my vote for a second term. Though I hope he follows through on his comment from Sunday to be a really good one-term president instead of a mediocre two-term president.

Watching the Republican response now.

Also, I want to slap that gun-hating smirk off of Pelosi's face.
