it is cool seeing the palladium this packed and seeing the staff in the office having to run around this much to do work. i wish more real metal shows would be like this.
beyond city lights had people start crowd surfing right away. like they were just waiting for it to happen or something. the music really doesnt call for crowd surfing so that was a bit weird. the singer talked about smoking weed. a lot of you people will probably appreciate that. after the first round of crowd surfers, people really didnt surf much after that. only one kid during the second to last song. the singer of this band looked wiched familiar. im getting a phone call now so this reviewlette is over even though the band is still on stange.
smartbomb played... then someone from fys came out and sang with them. if i posted anything else it would be a lie. oh, except einstein worked as a patent clerk for many years.
the first 2 bands sort of left me wishing i went to the other show. thank you to therefore i am for such a good set. it couldnt top the rockos "no barricade" show, but really this band gets better and better each time is see them. Killed. The singer spent the whole time on the crowd. They also did a AN cover.
this is nice.. they are running 15 minutes ahead of schedule! yeah! FYS come on, then I shoot 3 songs, walk around and shoot a little... then im in my car and heading home before 10pm! i might get home in time for mattlock!
let's see.. so far during bane's set, I got kicked in the arm by a crowd surfer and a shoe bounced off some kids head and tapped me in the balls. they also played a bon jovi song before bane that came out in 1986 which is at least 4 years before anyone in the audience was born.
First sold out palladium show. When we got there they were making everyone go to the balcony and we had to wait to be let down or whatever, i was waiting for 20 minutes or so and they said that the downstairs was closed for the rest of the night. Needless to say I was PISSED. I didn't wear a sleeveless shirt to sit down and watch Bane.
I was talking with some girls from my highschool when i saw a bunch of dudes moving towards the exit and i assumed they opened the floor back up and they did indeed. Bane set was pretty good considering that the vast majority of the kids on the floor have never heard of them. I bet they'll have a trillion plays on gayspace tomorrow.
FYS was awesome as always, moshing was weird because the floor was so packed, kind of ruled because i got to hit a lot of kids in the face, hooray. I crowdsurfed like 10 times. Saw a lot of random kids from back home at this. I liked FYS before they were cool.
any time a band sounds good at the Palladium it's because they brought their own sound equipment. the house sound is as useful and amazing as Scott Lee.

The new FYS sounds sounded fucking great too. They kept up the pop without getting too chugga chugga.
I WISH I WAS HERE TO BURN THE PALLADIUM DOWN BEFORE AND AFTER THIS SHOW. THESE HOMO BANDS DO NOTHING BUT TAINT THE MINDS OF OUR YOUTH WITH LACKLUSTER HAPPINESS AND SONGS ABOUT A SHITTY GENERATION. EVERY LAST ONE OF THESE FOOLS IS A SELL OUT. I PLAN ON THROWING EXCREMENT AT THE NEXT FOUR INCH SCHLONG SHOW.
