With all due respect to cynic, btbam will bring more people and have more fans.
Quite sad how things work these days.
when did it ever not work like that?

You've got your veteran band that's been around the block since the late 80s and a very talented younger band that has emerged in the past 8 years with a huge fanbase. I never liked btbam that much because their music always seemed directionless. But I'm not surprised they would play after cynic due to the shitty cicumstances in metal today. Perhaps cynics hiatus created a gap in their fanbase?
no I agree with all that....my question was, you said "Quite sad how things work these days." making it sound like the more popular band headlining over the band that's been around longer has not always been how things worked....I was questioning when that was
Cynic's giant gap did diminish their fan base because people are almost thinking of them as a new band when really they're not. Between The Buried and Me is my favorite band actually, they've put out more albums, have a bigger fan base, are on a more well known label (even though Im not a fan of Victory) and I believe this is their tour so why wouldn't they headline it?
yea. I mean it's no surprise to me they are. cynic was on hiatus for years; most of their original fans are in their 40s..except dwyer.. heard his ID is carved in stone
