the wake up call, i think that i shot them and they said that they were from derry. i probably also commented on that fact. derry forever.

it seems like the color of violence has jon from the daughters on drums and he is also tour managing the tour. it was cool to catch up with him. btw, daughters a new record recorded.

die another day would be a lot better if their sound was done right. i think the guitarists vocals were suppose to have autotune? maybe? whatever the case, it was just over gained so it sounded peaked out and flat. it also took them along time for the sound girl to get their drum pad working... if she ever did. not sure cause i never heard it.

also, the sound person is the best cause she was playing modest mouse. and not shitty modest mouse, but awesome modest mouse.

oh, and when i came up to rockos, there were tv camera crews out side. seems like there was a murder outside rockos earlier today and then in a separate event, there was a stand off 2 blocks away which ended in murder suicide. oh manch-vegas, you so exy.

structures something fail were weird. weirdly placed and a weird mix of musics. some of their stuff was techy death metal. others sounded like lamb of god or hatebreed. makes them sort of odd men out on this bill. but i enjoyed them. i think that they would play better with some other bands that are more death metal.

oh, die another day covered or the wake up call covered fall out boy. i think it was wake up call.

the color of violence could have done nothing more than their pixies cover and i would have loved it still. actually, that was what i loved about their set. it was the song right before veloria on bosanova. so good. finally, a song that i could sing along to. there were a few parts to the music that made me say m'eh, but for the most part it was good. the singer was wicked energetic, but the bassist and guitarist (who might also be in from first to last) just sort of stood there. even though the music was what it was, there were a few drum parts that shined with jon's abilities.

therefore i am have never disappointed me. from the first time i saw them, they just get better and better. i was a little concerned since the crowd was small at the start of their set. but every single song had the front row singing along. that was pretty aamazing. but the time i worked my way across the stage, the crowd had filled in about 1/2 the room. it left room for people to dance. i took way too many pictures of them im sure, but it was fun and their were even some crowd surfers. no crowd surfettes yet, but probably for from first to last.

greeley estates were ok. they got better as the songs went on, but the singer bugged me when he said "sorry, i got lost in that song". there are very few people who i would except that line from (most of whom are bender doing a washboard solo). i love the samples they mix in. that is why i love the music. including when they start up with the EAS alert. they had a new bassist and new drummer.

isn't the bassist their tour manager who is filling in?
