GOING THROUGH CHANGES
Throughout the summer, The Effort has gone through a bunch of changes. First I (Tony) decided to move to St Louis to be with family. It was becoming increasingly hard on me to be away for so long from the people I love, so I talked to the band and we firmly believed that we could continue to be a band if I moved. Then after the U.S. Tour Eddie and Tim decided that they wanted to part ways with the band. There are no hard feelings, they just wanted to move onto other projects. Although with my move to St Louis and two of our members leaving, it would make plans that we previously made a little backed up.

NEW MEMBERS
Please welcome to the band Ryan and Christian! We had been searching since September for a new guitarist and drummer and we are happy to say that the search is finally over. We tried out a lot of people and though that Ryan and Christian fit in with us more than anyone else did. We picked Ryan and Christian because we felt like they would be able to contribute the most to the outcome of the band for the rest of our future. They will be playing their first shows with us November 5-8th on a North East Weekend Tour, so make sure you come out and say hi!

NORTH EAST WEEKEND TOUR
Like I previously stated above, we will be touring the North East from November 5-8th. As a way to be able to still play locally, we are trying to book full weekends around New England and I’ll be flying out for the weekends. This is the first one that we are trying out, so make sure you come out and meet the new members and show us some love. Also for those interested, we will have some leftover merch from Europe, including windbreakers and limited shirts on this tour, here are the dates so far (we still need help with one of the dates)

November 5 – Kingston, RI – 193 Degree Coffee House (URI Memorial Union)
November 6 – Medford, MA – Oxfam Cafe (Tufts University)
November 7 – Wallingford, CT – Venue TBA
November 8 – MA/NY/RI – HELP!

NEW COVERS RECORD
Before the summer, our original plans were to have a new LP out by the winter. Sadly, losing members and finding new ones made us put this project on the side lines. In order to make up for this and to also try and introduce everyone to our new members, we hatched up this idea that we are calling “Covers Project”. The idea is to record 5 cover songs, each one picked by a member in the band. We are all going to write down a little info on why we chose the song we picked, and hopefully this will give you a little insight on us, our new members and what other artist might influence our new record. We will also be including one new song that will be featured on the upcoming LP that is still untitled. “Covers Project” will be released on Panic Records and you should expect it out sometime around February. More info will be out real soon though!

EAST COAST/CENTRAL AMERICA TOUR
A tour has been planned for December 26th – January 17th. The tour goes down to Florida, where we will fly out to Guatemala, tour around Central America (Booking done by Central Booking), fly back to Florida and then work our way back up the East Coast. Here are the dates we have planned so far…

NEW LP RECORD
We are still working on a new LP record that is currently untitled. The expected release for the record is now being pushed back until Summer 2010. As soon as we have more info on this record we will let everyone know! This record is also scheduled to be released on Panic Records.

Thanks everyone for your time and support!
