I actually sat next to a guy on a flight yesterday who's a physicist working on the LHC, specifically the magnets. Pretty interesting stuff he was talking about, I guess they're going to be back up and running soon. I told him we need that black hole going asap, but he didn't quite get it.
He must have been a brilliant phsysicist. The LHC scares the shit out of people; but in all reality the info that it shoots back to us will benefit humanity in the long run.
