forced to rock sounds like a cheesy 80s hair metal album name.

Half Past Corpse O'Clock?

Sounds like it will either rule or totally suck.

Starve for the Devil...eh?

Didn't this guy have an eating disorder? Epic.

I don't think that's a coincidence. He's all about redemption, so all the lyrics are probably all aimed at that topic. I can't wait for this.... new Arsis, with all the mature writting, and awesome riffing as "we Are The Nightmare", but without the "way-too-over-the-top" drummer of Daren. I predict that this cd will fucking kill, and people will become just as obsessed with this band as they were before.

This band never tickeld my pickle, but they put on a great live show.

toggletoggle post by ouchdrummer   at Oct 8,2009 10:36am
haha, you said "tickle my pickle."

toggletoggle post by aril at Oct 8,2009 10:36am
Perhaps I should buy more Arsis albums?

toggletoggle post by arktouros at Oct 8,2009 11:01am
United In Regret is probably my favorite. Check out the Depeche Mode cover... http://theunderworldofmusic.blogspot.com/2...03/arsis-united-in-regret-2006.html

Their first one is notable, more raw production and straight up badass metal drumming.

This EP is fucking excellent, "A Diamond For Disease" is their best song and features some of the best melodic metal composition ever. The Alice Cooper cover rocks too. http://puswart.blogspot.com/2009/05/arsis-diamond-for-disease-ep.html

i hated Diamond for Disease. just bored the hell out of me. everything else is great though

toggletoggle post by arktouros at Oct 8,2009 11:11am
i'm biased because that was around the time i bought my ex a diamond, and there's no better song out there to describe how i felt when i realized the magnitude of that mistake...haha

I'm with ya. I figured it couldn't be a coincidence.

Looking forward to this CD, though I still listen to the demos more than any actual album.

toggletoggle post by rbss at Oct 8,2009 1:05pm
Can't wait! This band can do no wrong for me. All the records are great, although it took me a lot longer to get into We are the Nightmare because Darren's flashy style didn't quite mesh as well with the songs as the original drummer, but his performance on that CD is (as always) incredible.

i like these guys. will check out.

toggletoggle post by sever at Oct 8,2009 2:19pm
havent been interested in these guys since A Celebration of Guilt/Diamond for Disease, but I'll definitely check this out at least.

toggletoggle post by ouchdrummer   at Oct 8,2009 2:39pm
I LOVE Celebration of Guilt, DFD, the demos, and WATN.. I like UIR, but i think it's kindoff their low water mark.

toggletoggle post by narkywork at Oct 8,2009 2:57pm
I had no idea this was in the works. Will def check it out.

toggletoggle post by goatcatalyst   at Oct 8,2009 3:05pm
I think I have the most-viewed Arsis video up on youtube. Boy, do fags love to leave comments.

A Celebration of Guilt and Diamond For Disease are the best releases in my opinion. United In Regret was definitely missing something. We Are The Nightmare just felt monotonous and stale. Even if the drums weren't so mechanical I still feel it would need something extra; that said, I didn't hate it, but my least favorite. I'm definitely psyched for the new album...I heard the old drummer is back but I don't care enough to look into it.

toggletoggle post by rbss at Oct 8,2009 3:17pm
I love United in Regret. I thought the songwriting was actually a bit more complex and though-out than the first full-length actually. A Celebration of Guilt was more of a riff-bonanza while UIR communicated more emotion. ADFD is definitely the best release though, soo amazing, even though it's only an EP.

unfortunately i have. I'm sure lots of people will like it.... but i don't. It's wicked cheesy. This is a really big change from any old stuff.

i will most likely dig it

I loved pretty much everything before this.... and i don't love it at all.... at least so far. It might grow on me though.

toggletoggle post by goatcatalyst   at Feb 4,2010 12:57pm
Haven't heard it and don't really want to, especially since they got Mike back on drums and it's total pooftermetal.

I preferred Arsis when James was a tubby hetero.

toggletoggle post by ouchdrummer   at Feb 4,2010 1:00pm
that's exactly what i mean. It's very cum-erotic.

toggletoggle post by goatcatalyst   at Feb 4,2010 1:08pm
Strikes me as low-rent Children of Bodom.

The moment you aspire to quit your 3rd shift grocery store stockboy job or give up your tenure at the pizza joint and have Metal pay your bills, your band is fucking doomed.

toggletoggle post by ouchdrummer   at Feb 4,2010 1:15pm
i thought you just said you haven't heard it?

toggletoggle post by goatcatalyst   at Feb 4,2010 1:17pm
I was raised Catholic, Jim. I judge books by their covers. And not to boast (I was raised Catholic, you know), but I'm pretty fuckin good.

toggletoggle post by goatcatalyst   at Feb 4,2010 1:26pm
Also, I saw the video. Damning.

I was also raised catholic sir... which explains a lot, i'm sure.

toggletoggle post by goatcatalyst   at Feb 4,2010 1:45pm
ow wow. and how are you judgement-passing skills, jim?

toggletoggle post by ouchdrummer   at Feb 4,2010 1:51pm
Judgment is reserved for our lord and savior.
