killed by the bull was really cool. there is some band that they reminded me a lot of but i cant place it. sometimes it was a little like bugs and rats, but idk. punk+rock+roll+freak out. the singer did a lot of vocals that reminded me of frank blank's shouting on doolittle/surfer rosa.
ive got this snipped of a band.. soul torn maybe? where the singer has a similar style to killed by the bull.
Chris Evil & The Taints sounded exactly like what i thought they would sound like. punkish rock with some fun songs. not quite surfy. not quite skanable.
bonerstorm is like play beach berkeley bingo with mastodon and andrew wk. thick choppin riffs that sound like the leviathan is circle pitting while flashing it's tits. the white whale is just there for a party. if you, my loyal reader, decide to book these guys, it is customatry to hose them down with cheap nascar brand beer when they get off stage. the only mastodon character that didnt show it's monster head was the kranken, but you dont expect bonestorm to blow it's loud ever show do you.
idk if i mentioned it, but seeing eric on drums again was weird. it wwwas like seeing an ex after 5 years, but getting along. for years, i spent most weekends with that dude and the rest IDN. it was great seeing him and he told me we could still be friends.
