what time does the show start

7pm. I was just going to start a thread about this show.
I'm sleeping at an internetless house tonight so pictures will be up in the morning.

pictures are up.

this was the second most amount of people I've seen at this club. usually it's just 25-30 kids, but there were 200+.

get killed: they played on the side before the main stage bands played. I saw them once before, but for some reason I thought they were more hardcore than that. they a punk band.

scarlet: they had some crazy DEP-esque light show with fog. that sort of made all my pictures turn out crappy. They played a bunch of songs off the new cd which was pretty great. Their sound over all was so much better than the last two times I saw them. Granted, I was listening off the monitors most of the time. They didn't get too long to play so I didn't hear any tracks from the last ep.

black dahlia murder: damn, wheever I see them now it's like mom and dad got back together again. great band, great sounding. After the show I was talking to the singer and bass player and trevor (singer) says "youre from mass, you know goratory?" and then they both went on about how much they love their disc.

as i lay dying: they sounded huge as always. though the show at the Axis last month was their best sounding yet. I don't think i'm going to be able to see them again with out comparing them to that time. Last time I saw them, they had a different guitarist who posed for me. I guess that's the new guitarist that Mark (mercury switch) was filling in for.

everytime i die: out of all the times I've seen this band, this was the best. like american nightmare, people just go ape shit for this band. it's amazing that they can stay there playing while people are piling on top of each other. I wished they played more older stuff, but they played all the best tracks off hot damn! so I can't complain. their set ended up with 30-40 kids on stage.

Fuck that club. I am never going back there. Here's my story:

I pull into the parking lot and find a spot about half way in between Dunkin Donuts and The Living Room. As I am getting out of my car, an older lady that is the DD security stops me and asks which car is mine, and I showed her. She said that I am ok to park there. I said great and went about my business.

So the show ends and I am going... out... to ... my... where's my car? My car got fucking towed. So I go inside DD and ask them why my car was towed when the security lady said it was ok to park where I did. They said the only car they asked to be towed was the car blocking the drive through, so I went outside and asked the lady what the fuck happened. First of all, I stood there and she wouldn't roll down her window, so I am talking and she rolls down her window and gives me attitude, and you know, I had put up with one too many Sevendust jokes from the Rev that night and I fucking snapped on the bitch and put her in her place, and we end up spending the next ten minutes in a shouting match, me calling her a liar for lying to me and having my car towed and her spewing irrelevant BS that made no sense. At this point I should appoligize to the singer of Mercury Switch because he came over and I have no idea what he said and I don't know if I was rude to him or not. So she tells me to that the people inside had me towed, so I went BACK inside and the girls gave me the exact same story, so she comes in and I say to here "hey, I've got a great story for you, but you know what, this young lady right here tells it much better than me so why don't you tell her" and she tells the lady they didn't have my car towed. So then we argue for a few more minutes over who towed who and I made my point clear that I didn't give a fuck who did what, my car better get back here and I wasn't paying for shit. So they called the tow guy and he started giving everyone attitude and I talked to him and he started throwing BS at me and I gave him a piece of my mind and he hung up on me....

So I called the cops. As far as I am concerned they had no authorization to tow my car, so my car was towed illegally, and I was not about to be held hostage of paying $90 because some dumbfuck can't do their job. Forgetting that this is Providence and they are basically run by the mafia, the cop sides with the tow truck place, which is bullshit. But nevertheless, he listens to the security bitches story and then my story, brings me over there, explains the situation and the guy tells me that he'll give me a break because he felt bad and he'd only charge me $40. At this point it's 1 in the morning and I just want to go home, so I agree. He takes me to my car and we talk on the way over and I explain to him that I work 40 hours in a pharmacy so I can do what I do, and that I am a photographer and I try to do this to help all these bands that need the exposure and help them however I can, and that it's not fair to me that I was lied to and I have to suffer because of it. So he looks at me and says "you know what, I can tell you work hard for an honest living and I really feel bad, so why don't you just take off and I'll deal with Dunkin Donuts in the morning." So he didn't make me pay, and for that I am thankful, because I certainly didn't have $90 bucks and I have no idea what I would have done otherwise.

The whole thing was fucked up. He said they asked the club to tell people they were going to be towed if they didn't move, and the only announcement the club made was that the one in the drive thru was being towed, and when the guy said to the guy running the club that he was about to tow the entire parking lot, the guy said to him "fuck them." Now I was lied to so many times last night that I don't know what to believe anymore, but if that's the case, then that is FUCKED up.

That kind of killed my night for me. I am actually kind of embaressed at how mad I got, but does anyone blame me? When someone working for Dunkin Donuts tells me I can park where I am parked (and I bought a breakfast sandwich from them before the show for my dinner), why wouldn't I believe them? But to anyone that was in the Dunkin Donuts, sorry for the specticle, but I hope you enjoyed the show after the show...

Yo man sorry to hear about your car being towed and junk. That sucks. But I think if you look at the 7th to last As I Lay Dying picture it might make you feel better. Thats me head walking (3 heads to be exact) for the first time!!! It was pretty funny because I am 215 and sort crushed some smaller doods. Oh well...
Dang fun show though I must say. AILD and ETID put on amazing live shows. Good times, CHILL~

Yeah it sucks but what can you do. I've had my day to sit and bitch about it, but it's time to move on. The show was solid all things considered. AILD is going to OWN Metalfest this year!

Haha they aren't up yet. Our server was all fucked up and we couldn't do anything for two months, and now over the last week we've finally been able to fix stuff, but still can't upload pictures yet. I've got 17 shows worth of pictures sitting here ready to go up.

Unfortunately, it's looking like a ton of other ones are going to have to come down :/ Apparently we are 250% over our limit...
