this whole thing has been really fishy, just this morning i was reading an article about how there are all these conspiracy theories about the "mysterious" disappearance of this ship, and a few hours later it's miraculously found without any sign of a disturbance. i think this article makes for an even fishier story.

what are you suggesting?

toggletoggle post by Yeti at Aug 17,2009 3:37pm
there is a much bigger story. i refuse to believe that with today's technology a massive cargo ship mysteriously disappears for two weeks without so much as a distress call and then randomly reappears. it doesn't make sense.

I should know a lot more about this but am glad that I don't pay attention to conspiracy theories anymore.

Something tells me there's some dead pirates floating nearby.

hopefully its Barbosa.

if the attackers turned off the ship's beacon there's really no reliable way to track the ship across large distances without using satellite technology and even that can be, and apparently was, futile. i want to know what the attackers did to the ship and what they took, and what they did to the crew. the article is not clear on that. i do find it strange that the crew didn't bring the ship to port after the time that the attackers left.

that being said, i'm not about to cry CONSPIRACY just yet.

also the US military reported sighting the ship but they were not involved in the search, so obviously they didn't intervene, that's something we don't do.

Did somebody make the Russian Reversal joke yet?

toggletoggle post by arktouros at Aug 18,2009 11:30am
those aren't jokes, they're facts sir.

and i don't like to throw facts around.

In Russia, facts throw you!
