hey. i'm looking to start a band in the general direction of explosions in the sky, godspeed! you black emperor, sigur ros, mum, the dirty three, etc. i ply guitar and i'm hoping to find drums, keys, bass, another guitar and hopefully some strings, preferably cello and violin. i'm in providence and would like to keep it local. i'm not into touring any more and just want to make music and play shows in and around providence and boston areas.

not yet. i have parts but i hear a lot of layers and i don't have any recording equipment to record them all. i would really like to write as a group and have it be very organic. i'm hoping to find people who are versatile musicians who would be able to play multiple instruments.

This is exactly what I've been wanting to do except that I only listen to (and LOVE) Sigur Ros. My problem with post rock is that it fucking sucks and it needs to not suck. You live in Providence though so good luck.

if you didnt live in providence i would be down. But traveling for a not so serious project wouldnt be a smart move on my part. But i have been looking to do an experimental ambient project for awhile. you know just to do it.
