New site? Maybe some day.

This band I never hear anyone talking about when they mention "doom". I can't fathom that. This band was and is extremely underrated. "Rapture" and "Gracefallen"...that's all I have to say. |
In b4 MikeOv.
I need to hear more Unholy, because everything I heard I loved. |
I LOL'ed.
You're welcome, Cody ;) |
Oh and have you checked out Hyponic yet? Kings. |
MIKE!!!! HAHA! Nice man....yup checked out Hyponic and it is CRUSHING and awesome. Thanks again. |
When you can smoke pot again, we have to hit the vape and blast Finnish doom again. |
I may have to attend that. |
I'd say sometime in the next few weeks. Sounds like a plan, man. |
bump for blasting 'from the shadows' and having the neighbors call about the noise. |
Trip to depressive Autumn, indeed |
Yes, yes.
The Second Ring of Power is like descending Jacob's ladder while in the midst of a hellish mushroom trip. |

and many a hellish trip I have had, riding a ferry down the river to Hell with a head full of mushrooms listening to this album. |
Shoes are you a fan of "Rapture?" I always thought it was an underrated album. It's not as 'uncomfortable' or ominous as 'the second ring of power' but it's an excellent album in that it manages to create a completely different atmosphere from that of the first two albums without changing the formula of the band to the point where it no longer sounds like Unholy. |
Absolutely. I think both Rapture and Gracefallen are solid records. |
Is the Gracefallen the most recent one? That's the only one I haven't heard much of. I have owned those first three albums for a long time now, guess it's about time to get on listening to Gracefallen. |
YEA THIS BAND IS PRETTY UNHOLY SOUNDING |
The troll name had potential, but that post didn't do much in the way of lulz. |
Yes, Gracefallen was the last record they put out. I really dig that one, especially because it has a lot of moments that are reminiscent of Shape of Despair. Like the track "...Of Tragedy", for example. |
I can see the Shape of Despair comparison. Even "the second ring of power" started to lean in that direction, although it came out before they were even a band. Finland Uber Alles! |
I will say that Unholy has always been a bit 'weirder,' for lack of a better term, than many of their Finnish doom counterparts. |
Most definitely, and weird in a very natural sounding way. Not like they're striving to be different or bizarre. They simply are.
Most of the Finnish doom bands have an outre sound and approach that are unique only to themselves. |

Nail and head. Unholy were really onto something different, tweeking the sound with each album yet it was still Unholy, no question. I love the dememted female vocals on "Lady Babylon" from Second Ring. Such a killer band. |
