ok, so once again, i call upon the wisdom of rttp in my quest for a new bass amp
i thought i was pretty much set on the trace elliot v300h, BUT then some dude i know is selling a SVT 350 for the same price. so heres the question, i like the way both of these sound, but which is gonna be the more reliable rig? any other anecdotes on this?
...also i hear those sansamp pedals are quite the hot ticket

fuck your sansamp pedal... i get the same tone out of an 80's randall guitar head. dirty, crushing bass tone.

my $400 set up sounds better than most people's $2000 set up... and thats including price of the instrument too.

basically, what i was trying to get at is... your ideal bass rig is up to you. the amount of money you spend doesn't really equal how amazing it will sound. Hell, if i HAD to get a real bass head, i would pick up a new Acoustic head. The 200 watt head is actually really loud and has AWESOME tonal capabilities. the 600 watt one is essentially the same but louder. 250 and 500 bucks for the 200 and 600 watt heads respectively.

check those out before you buy anything. guitar center will have those somewhere in a set up with the 200 watt head hooked up to the Acoustic 410 and 115 and the 600 watt one hooked up to the Acoustic 810. i was really blown away when i plugged into the 200 watt one the first time.

my 2000 dollar bass rig cost me 700 bucks, and sounds better than your $400 rig. so eat it, guy.
