special host: nick cage's son |
Special DVD commentary by Rich Bova
"All these grindcore bands suck." |
Third band at after-show is "Paranthropus" as originally scheduled. He dropped off, but is now back on the bill. |
Free meat at this show!!!! MEAT! |
Who are Tovarish and Paranthropus? From around here? |
Tovarish and Paranthropus are both from Providence. Tovarish is a mish-mash of ambient sample-ridden black metal, and Paranthropus is a one-man sight to be seen. So come out, 6 more days!! |
this makes my diggera get biggera |
I'm debating this. Paranthropus looks interesting as well. |
i'm insulted that i wasn't invited to play this show with my super-flying-V. I be there just to see all posers say they know what black is about . i'm better than you , i make more money than you , i live in a better neighbor hood , and i'm just all around better . |
interesting documentary was interesting |
Looks fun. Anyone bootleg it? |
oops! missed as220. Will be there for Aug 1 Brattle screening |
Not a bad documentary, but seemed kinda... unnecessary. Basically just goes over ground already covered in the 'Lords of Chaos' book (Norwegien scene drama, etc) and talks about the current branding/commodification of black metal. Highlight is definitely some of Varg's one-liners though. Dude's pretty fuckin funny on camera. |
