Yeah pretty much. Dismantle the Cyborg, Conforza, and The Summoned are all damn good friends of mine, Mummified in Circuitry I've hung out with a few times and same with OBWT. Gonna people some good peoples at this show.

I'm hoping this place sells out. My only problem with this show is how late the last 3 bands are going on. Also, some guy from Ligeia is judging the bands.

Congrats to the dudes in Dismantle! Good friends, and they definitely fit the bill pretty good for Summer Slaughter. The Summoned definitely had an amazing set, one of their best actually. It was definitely a close call between the two. It sucks that all the bands were competing for just 1 open slot , but hey it's all in fun and atleast it wasn't some shit band that nobody's heard of winning this. Congrats again!

Definitely a real fun show last night. Beer, sing alongs to Skid Row, and just pure fucking metal. Congrats again guys!

Singer, I think. According to one of my guitarists, we were the only band up to that point where he stayed for the whole set.

I hate to be a negative nancy, but I agree kinda with grant. I think the whole second stage shit thing on SS is a crock. I have barely heard of bands on this stage (scalpel? They're not bad but have played one show or something). More hardworking bands like hivesmasher should be on this. Shouldn't be determined by a battle of the bands full of new jacks.

As you should be. At the very least you can say you played a show with those bands, regardless of the crowd you get. And you get to be at a show with good bands and not pay to get in. I'd say there's really no negative. Oh and congrats.

I do agree that Hivesmasher has worked their way and definitely deserves all the good they get but I feel like we have a good chance to get exposure too. The guys I play with have been doing this for years and are just as hard working. It's an honor to be apart of what we all do and love.

IMO it's gonna be just like every other show that has big headliners and locals opening, and that is no one paying attention to the locals because at shows like this no one cares about the locals, unless one of the nationals were to headline that stage. That's just my opinion though.
