so i'm probably gonna sell my Squier Vintage Modified jazz bass. it has been gigged but taken care of. its a great bass with a great action and feel and weight and everything. looks very old school and clean.

i put an Audere active preamp into it and the sound it can put out is crushing. its perfect for someone that wants the same look and balls as a Marcus Miller, but for less than a 3rd of the price.

I'm actually looking into getting a fender jazz five string to add to my collection of a four and a six string. But either way I may be in touch in the future.

i put this preamp in the bass and it immediately was too much for what i was using it for. the amount of sounds you can pull out of it now are incredible. if i swapped in a better bridge pick up, this bass would be a real monster.

looks awesome but active pickups are annoying as fuck

its not active pick ups. the plate, the preamp, is active. the pickups are passive.

I'll add this to the list of things i want but can't not currently afford....

seriously... i really need a real bass amp, im using a randall guitar head! help a brother out and help your tone out. bass wont come with elixirs anymore but i will keep the d'addario strap locks on it and sell it with the gig bag its been in. 300 bucks still. these things retail at $299 and the pre amp is $140 + shipping so this is a steal at that price.

Someone should totally buy this.

Not me, though, I have no need for another 4-string. I'd sooner need a bass amp or a 5-string than I'd need another 4-string.
