I was promised a subshop for dinner and got nothing.

starting in 10 minutes and after that huge thread, wolves of wysteria isn't even playing.

they have 2 stages set up and are going back and forth. the only non-ugly person here is a brown guy named joe. I think he wants me to buy a hoodie from some spacerock band.



Witness the end: lightest drumming ever? It looked like he was barely hitting anything at all. The levels there were all weird. I think this band's family was all there. There were a lot of awkward pauses that they don't yet know how to fill.

i hate your girlfriend: obvious they have been together for a lot longer than the last band. Louder. Not too bad either. I think this band brought friends from western mass. There was some moshing.

Underbrightlights: sort of like bdm-deathcore. the singer needs a better microphone voice for between the set. From what I can tell of th sound, I9 glad the stages are set up like this. They sounded a lot louder than the previous band on that stage, but still, the sound is lacking on this side of the room.

fact: I was not expecting a j-rock band on this bill. That was either the best thing I ever saw or the worst. Vocoders, samplers, every member having a mic and im pretty sure that was rain (the guy from speed racer) on vocals and possibly also on the bass. Pretty high energy. The crowd danced along.

ursa: short set due to them taking a long time to set up, but they sounded better than the last time I saw them. I guess the heahlining bands are getting pissed about the time. 3 more bands in like 1 1/2hrs.

probably 50-60 at any given time. a lot of people are out after the band they bought tickets from.

memphis may fire: eh, not my cup of tea at all. They had colorful boxes of light, but no one knew their songs. The people that wanted to get involved, moshed.

greeley estates: one of my dirty little secret likes. Their CD is wicked good too. Why does everyone get the arm covered by their guitar neck tattooed? Is it like earings? Right is wrong left is right? I've only really seen these guys in a huge environment so it's kind of odd that they are playing such a small venue. They themselves commented on how weird it was to play on the floor again. Needless to say, they were awesome. I remember back when I wanted to hate them, but I couldn't. They even played 2 of the songs off the CD that I like. please come back with the chariot or norma jean.

iwrestledabearonce: they were completely different from what I was described. I never listened to them as to not pass judgment on them before seeing them. First, they are wicked nice. Second, people said that their music is "trendy"?! how is that trendy? It reminded me of a campier starkweather or maybe older rwake. Some weird vocals, etc... but maybe the samples change everything. Also, just about everyone in this band looked like someone from other bands that I've seen before.

We have been together for almost 5 years now. but this line up has been together 7 months now. we only brought one person from mass and it was the weird puerto rican kid that didnt have a shirt on.....

yeah, if I can't find it, im going to have to just put on my headphones tonight at the gym and pretend I have an ipod so people don't talk to me. I remember having it at work. I noticed during one of the bands that I didn't know where it was, but I don't remember having it at the show. I hope it didn't fall out of my pocket or something.
