xDEATHSTARx Signs to Life Sentence Records

xDEATHSTARx, from Southern California, has been added to the growing LSR family. Over the last several months we have really been searching for a band from that area that fits with what we are trying to accomplish with the label - and xDEATHSTARx fits in perfectly. They are a really unique band and after meeting with some of them this past weekend, we couldn’t be happier about having them on our team. xDEATHSTARx will be heading into the studio in a few weeks to record their debut album for us and you can expect their full length to be released in July.

Eighteen Visions “Lifeless” Re-release Out Now

The repress of the Eighteen Visions “Lifeless” EP is out now and is in stores everywhere. If you’ve been out looking for it and haven’t found it, then you just aren’t looking hard enough.

Distribution Deal with Revelation Records Finalized!

We are very excited to announce that we have negotiated and finalized an exclusive distribution deal with Revelation Records. They will be carrying all of our titles except the Eighteen Visions repress. We are expecting great things from this union. Now it should be much easier to get our releases into stores all over the US, Europe, Asia and Australia.

Sick as Sin and Chaos Fest Updates

Sick as Sin Metal Festival, in Lowell Massachusetts, is just under 2 weeks away (3/21) so if you are heading out there, please come up and say hello to us. Chaos Fest, on April 23 and 24 is sneaking up on us as well. The Moor will be playing Sick as Sin and Grimlock and Spearing Jocasta will be playing Chaos Fest 2004. Wings of Scarlet and With Dead Hands Rising both had to drop off Chaos Fest for personal reasons.

PN Release Postponed to 06.22.04

Due to our new distribution deal with Revelation Records, we have to postpone the release of the PN CD until June 22, 2004. We’ve had a lot of emails from people really interested in picking up this release and we promise that this is the last time that it will be postponed.

The Moor Corrections

Last time we posted the news, we said that The Moor was basically Nientara with a new name and we were asked to make a correction to that. The Moor is a completely different band than Nientara and they have different goals:

“After 3 years of being together, and only containing one original member, Nientara has decided to call it quits. Three of the core members of Nientara however, Nathan Adajian, Jason Leardi and Joshua Jablonski, have decided to keep moving on with their musical aspirations with The Moor. Joined by good friends George Richer, (previous drummer for A Thousand Falling Skies) on vocals, Tom O'Hare of Invocation of Nehek on drums, and Mike Despasqua on keyboards, The Moor is finally a chance for all of its members to play a style of music close to their hearts, that of pure black and death metal.”

Current LSR Contests

There are three current Life Sentence Records contests. The Northeasthardcore.com contest is almost over so enter there quickly. New contests at Aversiononline.com and Calihardcore.com have just started. Another is starting on the 18th at Trexsound.com. Head on over to those sites for your chance to win some CDs.

My old band was on life sentence, Me and the kids from grimlock think that Dan Chump(Gump) repressed our Cd's and sold them all in europe and didn't tell us. That's random news from lifesentence records. don't get me wrong i like the guy but i don't like his business practices. he hooked us up with a tour(hooked us up with grimlock who actually hooked up the tour) and a really big show in his local area at the time Salt Lake City, where there was mad promotion and a scene of underlings that were all hyped about the home town record label. but he's moved from a bunch of places and said he quit the label thing. Then He wanted to put our new shit out but on the end of our old cd which get's seriously blown away by our new stuff, and have like an insert, fuck that! so I'm going to put that shit out myself like 4 years later now. but it's still good And rev you can hear it and finally dispel all the hype you heard and whatnot. we were fucking dope live to bad we didn't get to play on your radio show. we played on wjul. but back to dan he's cool cuz he's getting shit done and he likes to militia -esque, practicing shooting and guerilla warfare techniques, i like that shit too although you wouldn't know it if you saw me or even knew me. so random news about life sentence and my take on it thanks rev....p.s. i'll e-mail you and ask you if our new band can play on your radio show. maybe not because our lyrics are swear filled but you can't understand them too too much if your like some FCC guy who cant interepret music withs screams in it. thanks

cool i like them too, they just played with my friends in haverhill, did you take pictures at that show?...And what's going on with Porphyria, i rock those 3 songs in the cd rotation still.... did you find a drummer? it was so fucking early that sun. morning at like 10 and we only tried the songs twice so if you feel like working at it i'm always all about music. if not we can always make a band or at least jam out. I've got mad recording equipment now so that makes music production alot easier. my new band Shaniqua and the Skull Fuckers is looking for shows, do you know who i should ask? our first show is going to be with the network, grenade, and purpleheart in Byfield MA exit55 of of 95 on apr 3rd at 7pm just waiting for final word from the network about all member attendance. two people in the band said cool, that they could and that they didn't have prior band obligations so they gotta get in touch with everyone at their next practice. so if your free that night come down.

yo Rev. tell dan if he's got any old OOKlA CD's left over to send them my way because i personally know a bunch of people that want them. And where is a good place to get cd's pressed and Layouts made? dan would go through two seperate companies for those parts and a seperate company for the cleargem plastic cases. so if you got any info let me know i want to start my own label soon. hopefully you can send cool bands my way. with the spring comes my motivation, thank you sunlight, fuck seasonal depression!

yeah i was at the haverhill show taking pics as well, i told natework about deadwater drowning dropping off the day before and they ended up playing.

natework=nate from the network. so what's up you need to be playing in a band if porphyria is fizzled away or porphyria needs a sick drummer or you should play out with a drum machine

nah we're still here, our drummer lives far up northern nh, but him and shawn plan on moving down to portsmouth area later this year i hope. then we'll be able to get it rollin a little quicker.
